A for quality, D for directions. This product could be put together in much less time with part connections decently labeled. Without it, you end up assembling and disassembling a few times to figure out how all the holes are oriented. It took an experienced handyman 4 hours to put together with me assisting as needed. Here's a picture of the assembled unit, attached to a metal deck. The handyman created blocks to attach to the metal deck with caulk underneath to keep water out. It is very securely attached.

Bought 2 and were very easy to install. 2 sets of hands are needed for the initial creation of the 4 posts and beams but after that it's a 1 person job.

Product looks good, it's smaller than expected. It took 2 person at least 4 hours to assemble and insert 4 of the 4x4 wood into 4 posts for stability. I recommend it.

We've had this pergola for over 6 months now and it looks great and built well. Assembly definitely requires 2-3 people but very straight forward to put together. We used large plant pots filled with sand to anchor the legs down and it worked out well. 4 seat table fits underneath with lots of room to spare.

Love this Pergola. I ordered it on line and it was shipped to a store rather quickly. Assembly was very easy, of course figuring out placement and how to anchor it is up to you. We installed ours on the deck above our hot tub and secured it by running green treated post through the vinyl post and securing them to the deck. We have had several wind storms and had no problems. We installed polycarbonate roof panels on ours to keep the snow and rain off the hot tub and still haven't had an issue with wind or weather. Definitely worth the money!

This pergola looks great on my existing deck. The posts are adjustable to the length of the beam that are 100 inches long. I installed it over two afternoons without help. It only took longer because I added privacy lattice on one side. The best thing is there is no cutting or painting mess. The parts come in 3 boxes so be sure to pick up complete. It’s the best value from Home Depot under $400. I would recommend having a power screwdriver or drill since the posts don’t have predrill holes. Also be sure to measure off so that it’s squared if you install to custom dimensions. I was skeptical of vinyl but pleased that the material is thick and sturdy although they are hollow. I left the metal anchors inside the posts to provide additional reinforcement. The total weight is about 60 pounds so it can be adjusted easily but not concerned that it will fly off.

I am glad that I read the reviews before installing because it does not identify the distance between the posts. It is approx. 7' square but squaring and leveling off was the most challenging part of this project. I used 4' treated posts which I cemented in the ground and then slid the already erected Pergola on top of the posts. Erecting the pergola first certainly helped ensure where the posts needed to go. It took about 4.5 hours which included digging the holes for the posts.
