I will leave 4 stars because i just buy this generator have to wait a few weeks to get it home and finally when i receive it i put everything on place i try to started with propane and this not starts just cranks and backfires like crazy i call Duromax phone Number and i explain the problem to them thay told me to change the spark plug for a NGK BPR6ES and that would resolve my problem, i did that and yes that fix my problem but if they know they having a problem with this why you dont send the spark plug already, why you dont replace the spark plug from factory? I already spend almost 2k buying a generator that woukd not start until i replace the brand new spark plug that comes on the engine from factory, that is unacceptable, at least they should send a free set of spark plugs

While I haven't hooked it up to the house yet the generator itself runs well. The manual is pretty easy and straight forward to setup. The only real issue I had was the shipping there was a dent on the top of the cover which thankfully didn't make it through to the fuel tank but it came very close! It's very important to inspect the box and generator before you sign for it when receiving. That aside it runs quieter than the Craftsman generator my family owned for many years. If you're thinking of getting a backup to protect your house in case of a severe storm or weather I'd say it's the perfect purchase you can't beat these for the price.

This is a big generator and the first generator that I buy for my new house, I was looking at many generators but Duromax convinced me. I'm getting ready for winter in New Jersey. Includes the gas hose and several other things that are useful for connecting the house. It was really worth the investment. Thanks Duromax. I recommend it 100%

A powerful well built generator to power my whole house. Backed up with great customer service and near by service center if anything goes wrong. Very satisfied with my purchase after researching all other brands.

Shipment came via R&L Carriers, lift gate - easy peasy… un packed and set up in hour or so, easy… all the tools included. Add your own oil and file and rock-n-roll. Fired right fired right up - first tried propane. I’m impressed! Let’s go Mother Nature :-)

I bought my XP12000HX Dual Fuel on March 21st and it arrived today earlier than expected. Unboxed it and assembled it. Easy to do. I am very satisfied and I hope to get many years of use out of this one maybe get a larger one as a home backup.

This unit works great very easy to under stand how get started guide . I used it as a power sorce to run my Miller 210 mig welder . generator had plenty of power. Works great

The generator is great quality, good instructions. I own several brands of generators and Duromax is the best of them. I only complaint is the shipping. The box was damaged, but did not seem extreme. When I began assembly there were a lot of dents to motor housing, generator housing and frame. Nothing that effects the operation, but the shipper was awfully rough to damage the frame. Because of the good quality of the generator I decided to keep it anyway. Straightened what I could and left the rest. It started right up. When own a farm with equipment that has to keep running during power outages and the Duromax with aid us. I would have given 5 stars but for the shipping. I recommend the generator and hope they will change shippers.

I bought the Generator about a year ago but have not had the opportunity to use it till Hurricane IAN took out the power for our house and I’ve had this 12,000 running for about 15 hours a day and the only thing it needs is oil so make sure you keep checking oil level… the Generator is designed to use a little oil….But it has powered 3 Iceboxes (Fridge) , A/C and Fans also TV, I turn A/C off when I want to turn on Hot Water Heater… but so far Great Product… Wish y’all made a20,000 KW

I just received this generator this morning. It was easy to assemble the few items required (wheels,Handles, pads) I hooked up the propane, hit the start button and she took right off! MUCH quieter than my 30 year old generator this replaced. Have not hooked to the house yet for a test but will as soon as my cord arrives. Instructions were great and clear.

Great generator but a little hard to start. Battery could be a little bigger . the generator powers my whole house eaisly. Waiting for winter to see if iy starts on current battery .

This is one powerful and well made generator. I've spent a lot of time researching the best option for our home and decided on this unit. It easily powered our entire home. It is easy to use and I love the automated electric start and shutdown. I decided to go with a manual generator interlock kit on the main panel since my goal was to power the entire house, not just a few loads. I like the fact that it runs on gasoline as well as LP which I will use as a backup fuel source. It is surprisingly quiet which is also very impressive.

My only real complaint was in shipping, as the first one was over delayed because it was lost during shipping and they had to ship a second. Have not used it at any length is why I gave it only 3 stars. It was easy to assemble except for its weight which made it difficult to maneuver but came with very basic tools to fully assemble (put on two wheels, two feet and the two handles . The instructions were easily readable and came with many illustration for use and operation. I was surprised that it came with LP gas regulator, a sufficient length of hose with connectors for a typical setup running off LP gas but you have to provide your own LP tank of your size choice. I borrowed the 20 lb tank from my LP grill for initial test run and break in. As a run time estimate, they claim it will run for 8 hrs from a 40lb LP tank at 50% power load (reference note a fully filled 40lb tank weights in at around 73lbs). The only thing I wanted for LP operation was a tank % fill gauge so that was an extra feature and separate extra cost. Adding oil, connecting battery, connecting LP gas connections and double checking everything following the quick start directions, it basically started right up!

I have purchased the generator to have if power goes out . It was easy to set up and it runs my whole house and air i used the propane which I like .so glad to have it

So far so good. I am a little concerned about the 20 hour service intervals, but this is a small unit designed for emergency power so I guess that is to be expected.

For the price, the generator is excellent. Well built and powerful. I had a couple questions, though. The box has a big splash on it that says “getting your generator running is our top priority! Call us toll free” so I did. Stayed on hold for an hour, left a message, called back, and left another message. That was five days ago. Still nothing. I’ve since solved the issues, but the company needs to pull it together.

Spent almost $2800 and used this 5 times over a period of 2 weeks. Service light kept coming on and would not charge. Only was putting out 13 volts. Also, you have to have it exactly level out it will continue to shut off. This thing is HUGE and would take 4 to 5 people to lift. When I returned I had to load it into a flatbed trailer. I should of gone with the Westinghouse.

Lost power for three days only a week after purchasing the generator. Ran it day and night until the power came back on. It was a lifesaver. All my food was protected, had hot water, heat, etc. Wish I purchased it years ago. Also found it was substantially quieter than my neighbors generators. Much quieter than expected. Worth every dime. No regrets.

This generator will not run on propane. I’ve been using small engines for decades and cannot get this to run on propane. I had no issue with gas for about a year then began to have intermittent success. Now I cannot start it. The cheap pull cord snapped. Spend the money and get a quality generator.

It did not take my husband long to set up the generator. In fact the longest part was driving to the store to purchase oil to add to the generator. After following the instructions he pressed the start button and the unit started up the first time.

So far, so good. I used this on propane and was able to plug up the two fridges, freezer, and tankless hot water heater to test the generator - no problems - simple setup/instructions.

I paid for delivery and then was told when I got a call it was curb side and they couldn’t walk on to my property. Then the day of delivery get a call saying that can’t delivery near my home due to it being on a 18 wheeler. So I had to drive to windham/gorham fire department to meet the driver and we both had to left it out and into my trunk of my jeep. The other kicker was his tailgate wouldn’t work due to how he was parked. He was really nice and good at his job it wasn’t his fault so for him I give him a 8 star

nice outfit, well made. easy to assemble. easy to start. making power easily. and not too noisy..

Could not even get it to run.
