I bought this line to use with my Echo GT-225i weed-trimmer. This line breaks very often and is not that great nor durable! I bought this as the recommended line for use with my trimmer...and trust me, it is the correct line, so no user-errors here. This line breaks apart, wears down, needs replaced, and lacks strength and cutting-power, plain and simple. I am still surprised that this product is as bad as it is...I thought this was going to be 10 / 10. It’s more like a 6 / 10. The only reason I like it is because of its value...it’s not that expensive for how much you get, and it’s always readily available in stores. Note: my trimmer has a head that requires me to refill, it’s not a tap-and-go type of trimmer head. My trimmer head requires me to cut pieces of this trimmer line into about 8” pieces. I do that, put in separate plastic bag, and replace as needed, on the job-site, while doing the job. It’s all okay, no issues there, only issue is the line breaks-down / breaks apart more often than it should. For example, if I’m using my trimmer for 1 solid hour, the line breaks / needs replaced just about every 10 minutes...so I’m replacing lines 6 times in 1 hour. I’m glad I have tough hands, am patient, and also know what I’m doing! :) :(

This a great replacement for my trimmer. The string is strung and a quilt upgrade from others. This string does not break when you go from fence to brick abound my garden. Even holds up to wet grass.

i bought the 2.4mm (.095) line for my stihl becuase the stihl store was closed . this line is awful. it shreds into one inch long pieces. do not buy. does not last and its definitey not professional grade. its not suitable for any use. crap product

I cut about 15-20 yards a week and I have used tons of other trimmer line in the past and nothing cuts like this echo line. I will never ever purchase any other line besides this. As I read through the reviews on here I see a lot of people complaining of how horrible it is but they must not be using it correctly or not maintaining proper distance from objects like fences/concrete while trimming. This trimmer line always leaves a crisp edge at concrete and knocks down the thickest grass in the ditches. Overgrown edges are no match for this string. Of course, with any line, of you are edging overgrown sidewalks or along metal gates it will tear up the string but when used properly this stuff last awhile. I use it in my Stihl 110r and with this combination I haven’t encountered anything it can’t handle. Before bashing this trimmer line maybe look into things you may be doing wrong before blaming the trimmer line quality. I string my trimmer in the morning to fill capacity and don’t have to restring all day long. I absolutely love this stuff and is reasonably priced and will never use another line again. Take my word for it and give it a try. I’ll include some lawns I’ve cut with it to show.
