Excellent! I have used a polesaw for years and finally decided to get an 18” Chainsaw. The ease of use and safety were key points for me. I am not disappointed.

This purchase is my 2nd ever purchase with chainsaws. I will not choose any other manufacturers when dealing with owning a chainsaw. Echo to me has by far excelled way over other brands. I personally have friends owning other products of which do not even compare close. I am happy with my Echo product, & will not ever purchase another product from anyone else. It is just consistent, durable, effective, & efficient for all situations & Jobs. Echo is Number 1 (#1) in book, & will stay there for a very very long time!

It started up easily right out of the box. However, after about 10 cuts on a fairly small tree limb, the chain brake jammed. I opened the compartment and there's no way to reset. Spent about an hour trying to realign the mechanism myself before saying to hell with it, I shouldn't have to be doing hour plus repairs on a brand new machine. HD took it back without issue. customer service was great.

Although this chainsaw is revered, I used this saw just on an occasional basis, the oiler on mine sure would not handle regular use let alone commercial use. I used it 3 or 4 years I refuse to pay $50+ for the part alone or 1/6 the cost of a new one just for it to fail.

filled it up with 2cycle gas it started on the third pull then all the fuel leaked out not a slight leak so i returned it and got a ryobi pleased with it so far will never buy echo again never had a chance to see how well it cut GARABGE WOULD GIVE IT O STARS IF I COULD

Purchased it to clear trees we knock over with the skid steer to create trail for the side by side and quads. It was put to the test the first day!! Used it for 8+ hours and handled the job. I had to keep adjusting the chain though. Hoping it’s because it was new and needed to be broken in. The tool that came with was super helpful. Over all very satisfied with the ease of use, controllability and the power to cut through some big trees!

First you all should know that I have used chainsaws for over 50 years. The cs 400 is a good saw for a home owner. good balance, good height to h.p. ret. I saw a review before I bought this saw, and the photo was of a chain that had come with the saw. It had been throwen soon after the owner had started useing it, and was mard. I had the same thing happen, and I replaced the Oregen chain, with a Stihl 62-63 PS chain. it now runs like a champ. I am not sure why the Oregen chain failed ? I have used Oregen chains in the past with only good results. I will add photos later if the program will let me.

only used 4 times stopped working. warranty sucks only used premix fuel

I had a fallen tree, my brother cut it up for me, a very large tree. The Echo 18 handled the job beautifully. A product a would recommend to my friends! Sincerely Theresa Carlisle

Very good for 95% what I cut. The other 5% boggs it down but still gets the job done. I did not want a really big saw to do what I needed.

It was brand new, I followed all the instructions in the manual. I'm not unfamiliar with chainsaws or mechanical devices. Turned it back for a refund, will not buy another one.
