I purchased this to use for my commercial business use. It is very comfortable, light, easy to put on and off. This give me so many options to use many different tools. The only draw back for me and wish to modify is the battery connect cable. There's a bracket that holds the battery connector to shoulder strap. When you are moving around, leaning down, taking the back pack off, or try to put the back pack on .... the battery link connector often falls out. It is a plastic and if it continues to drop & hit the ground, the plastic WILL break. I wish there was much better way to secure it by SNAP lock to the should strap, instead just hanging on the bracket.

The back pack option allows the heavier batteries to be supported by you shoulders and not one arm. One can operate the equipment for a longer time without tiring the arm. We have had for about 1 month and it exceeds expectations

This is a great idea. I wish you would combine it with a 7.5 battery. That battery is too heavy to put in a trimmer or blower or hedge trimmer. Ask my wife. We have a 7.5 battery that came with our ego self propelled lawn mower so we are all set.

The backpack link makes using the tools that much easier. I could use the string trimmer all day. The LBX600 is very light and maneuverable.

Honestly...1. the hollow-dummy battery design still adds weight, it doesn't completely satisfy my purchase at 5 stars. 2. There is still a cord that gets in your way time to time(which was primarily the reason I went to battery cordless vs corded)..you still have to wear the backpack for quick uses so be mindful of that task backpack on and off on and off...3. yes it is extremely lighter than a gas blower(thank god)4. Option to use commercial or residential gear from ego power plus.(def recommend commercial blower to use this backapck because you dont have to use the dummy battery, instead just the connector)5. With a blower...you still get tired easily with the same hand because now that the blower is lighter(without the battery weight on the handle) the air turbulence is so strong it pushes against your strength to hold the blower. #foodforthought-Overall BEST option when you have multiple tools and you plan switching tools for a project or landscape job-Still best option to reduce weight on arms, forearms, shoulders especially if you're using 5 or 7.5 batteries. As we all know, the 2.5 batteries are weaker in performance for every tool...

It’s a nicely built accessory, and it works just fine, but for me without the weight of the battery in my string trimmer and blower and chainsaw they’re out of balance and hard to use

A must for the edger and pole saw. Make using the string trimmer with ease. I use 5A batteries and they are just too heavy without using the backpack link. Highly recommended !!!!

This thing is way to heavy to make a difference. The insert that goes on the tool and connects to the battery pack weighs almost as much as the battery that it replaces. It performs as advertised, but without much purpose. Save your money.

  • Back Pack Link

The back pack link is easy to adjust and comfortable to wear and use. Today I used it with my 530 cfm blower and trimmer along with the 7.5 ah battery that came with my mower. I was able to blow on Turbo for 30 minutes used the my string trimmer for 15 min and still had battery when I was done. It makes the tools lighter due to the battery link that weighs almost nothing due to no batteries in it. I don't have bushes in my yard but definitely would reccomend it for the blower and hedge trimmer. Now I have the best power source for my tools with less weight!
