Do Not Purchase this Door - Home Depot is not Responsive
This door is defective in that the glass door doesn't close all the way to the top of the screen. There is a gap that Home Depot explained to be was there because I chose an economical door and I should have known better. The installer told me they had never seen this batch of doors have this problem and agreed it was a defect. The weather seal of the door at the bottom is crooked allowing insects to come in at will. This is a terrible door and highly recommend you not only avoid this door, but avoid Home Depot period. Blaming the customer for buying a cheap door is beyond the pale - the fact they consider this cheap should tell you to stay away from it.

Door rots from inside out
I only wished I’d seen these reviews, before I purchased 4! Yes, They will eventually rot, from the inside out. I have seen several complaints on this matter, and the response from the company is a bit laughable saying it “depends on the location?” since this is a storm door and it is supposed to keep out storms, which include water. We have replaced one already, and this is our second one that is rotting away, we also have two more…just waiting for that evil water to come in and rot it.

Leaking doors
They look nice but they perform poorly. As a storm door I think it's reasonable to expect they would keep OUT the rain. These doors leak INSIDE from the middle and they haven't even been through a real storm yet. This is our second rain since installation on my porch and they leaked both times. Aside from the looks they aren't exactly the best choice. Definately will ruin carpet or floors. Going to have to replace as soon as possible.

Very poor quality
Bought 36”x80” EMCO Bronz storm door product # 034778220162 , professional installed. Screen mesh insect uneven by all door construction, also bumps on new door , very poor finish.

Buyer Beware...don't invest in this product.
I was happy after installation, the door looked great. After only a two years, I noticed it starting to just fall apart. It's mind-boggling, there is just NO WAY this should be called a "storm door". The wood core inside just swelled up and the door rotted from the inside out. Five years after installation, and this is what your door will probably look like as well. They should get rid of that pressed wood-core center and use something else. Or....treat it with something that would actually make it water-repellent?

The rotting or deterioration of a wood core storm door with reference to the time is dependent on some factors. It may depend on how the door was installed, the environment or the location where the door is installed and how the door is being maintained. These factors contribute to the deterioration of the door.
Modesty aside, we also have customers who have wood core doors installed in their homes for more than ten years, and yet their doors are still intact and not showing any sign of deterioration except for the wear and tear issue of some replaceable parts. This is a low quality product.
Unboxed the door to find that the screen was not properly installed. I was able to repair the screen but I shouldn't have had to do this. Particle board core is garbage.

Could have been a bit taller
Not 80” tall. The rubber at the bottom is not long enough to cover the whole length. Flies and bugs can still get in. Other than that it’s a good door. Read the instructions included but got confused. Used YouTube videos instead.

Hung this up in an existing frame and it works great. Read the instructions CAREFULLY, take your time, and absolutely get another person to help you. The door is heavy; weighs 70 lbs. when mounted. But it looks great, opens and closes quietly, and the tensioner is easy to adjust. Both of the glass windows can be moved up and down or removed altogether. Getting it plumb can be a LITTLE tricky with the braces provided, but if one person with a good back holds it square you can have a partner drill holes and mount it with you :) Very pleased with the look and quality, would absolutely buy it again. Please - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY so you don't make holes you don't want in the wrong places.

This was the second door of this kind that we installed. The key word here "second". The first door looked better than we expected and decided to do our other front door as well. We picked these up in store - no special ordering needed. As to the install; I am somewhat handy and coordinated and was able to install this with my adult niece. The first time we did it the install it took the better part of a whole day. (5 hours). The directions at first seemed overwhelming. I needed to read and re-read them several times to understand the next step. Having a second set of eyes to look them over and help out was helpful; especially lifting the door into place. The second door we did in 50 minutes! Not bad for two gals! We even had a neighbor offer to hire us and do his door! I would recommend this door. The price point is terrific. Looks more expensive than it is.

Hired a Pro to install it since the original door was not set correctly and the new door needed a lot adjusting and shimming. The Quality of the door seems to be good, we will see in the next few months how it behaves. Love the feature of the Bug screen and the fact that both glass partitions slide up and down to control fresh air draft. Only complaint so far the latch and piston should be built more sturdy, other than that is a good product.

Adjusting the door opening, specifically length was needed
Because our two-story home is a little dark downstairs, I wanted my front door to be a window, as well as the entrance. I couldn’t be happier with the results, especially the bronze color that matches our trim so well. (The plan now is to refinish the wood door in an Ebony stain to better match the new storm door.) A word of caution - our opening was more like 82” tall (due to a slanted rain plate) and my husband had to add an inch of trim to the upper door opening, as well as a second sweep on the bottom. A little hassle and the only option, but well worth it.

I had two of these doors professionally installed. I bought them because the windows can be adjusted both up and down for airflow. With the first heavy rain after they were installed, I had water running all over the place inside! I called EMCO and was told that what looks like the bottom window actually goes on the top and the other window fits right above the bottom channel. (This is crazy because then you can't adjust the windows for airflow!) Last night we had rain again. There is rain behind my storm door. I called EMCO again and was told that the storm door will not stop all weather. Isn't that why we buy a storm door??? I'm very, very disappointed.

Kindly note that storm doors are not manufactured to be water-tight and your entry door should be the main line of defense against outside elements. The doors are nice and heavy however the screen and window panels do not close tight. I had to put weather stripping on both window panels and the screen. Flys and bugs just came right in. I know I did not get a damaged door as I ordered 2 and both were the same.

If you do buy these doors KEEP the RECEIPT in a special spot, because you will need it when the doors rot from the inside out.
I bought two doors at the same time in 2009 , they both rotted and bubbled out in 2012, (covered under warranty luckily I did save my original receipt ).
Both the 2012 doors bubbled up and rotted by 2018.

Clear instructions, all the needed hardware was in the color coded bags. I purchased two doors. One went up easily. The other was constructed about 1/16th inch off on one side - top frame did not align with sides. It took a bit of jiggering to get hinge side in correctly. Bought these for a screen porch, so discarded both glass sections. Screen is a bit loose and screen frame sits in a slot and has only two pins fastening the top, so doesn't seal tightly. Overall a good value and solid door.
