The dog door is off center. The measurement on one side is 7 1/4 inches and the other side is 9 5/8 inches. It looks awful, and Andersen had the audacity to tell me over the phone that ‘they would decide if it was ELIGIBLE for replacement.’ Never dealing with them again.

Purchased this storm door as we have two 55 lbs dogs that are in/out all the time, and drive me crazy. Easy to install (took about 4 hours) as I took my time for a perfect fit. Only thing I had to manufacture a bit was a block of wood so the door latch would catch properly. Door is heavier than I thought, so the insulation is very good. We can keep the regular door open, and no heat loss. I especially like the dog door. It's made of three plastic panels that flex, but also has a nice weather strip around the dog flap, so it seals properly after the dogs come in/out. That is really nice. Dogs took about 1/2 a day to learn the door, and now come, and go none stop.

The storm door fits perfectly. My contractor installed the storm door after repairing the door frame. Only took about 30 minutes to train my 12 lbs dog to go through it. Looks and works great!

Screen door looks good on the outside but one of the borders that hold in the window were misaligned causing a clear gap and the sweep for the bottom was bent during packing and creates a clear draft on the bottom. Also… it’s particle board inside, keep that in mind. Good looking from a distance just was expecting a bit more for an almost $400 door

It was difficult to put in alone but I did it!

My dogs love having their dog door back. Had to get used to the heavy duty dog door but that was easy. Door makes it easy to keep flying insects out though some gaps allow crawling insects like ants and spiders. No big deal.

I was redoing our laundry room in our house that had a storm door going into the back yard. The previous owners had small dogs and had cut a hole in the metal bottom part of the door for their dogs to go in and out. It was too low to the ground for my larger dogs to make it through. I ordered this door and had it shipped to the store. I got it to fit in a Honda CRV with the back seats down. I found a couple of videos on installation that I watched before. I have never installed anything like this before. The instructions that come with it are pretty decent but I wanted to take my time before drilling through the door. Removal of the old screen door was pretty easy but there were some screws that had stripped and broke. The one part that was a little tricky was figuring out which way the hinges needed to be flipped before being installed on the door. All in all it turned out pretty well. There is a small gap at one corner of the sweep I need to adjust and a small gap between the head frame and one of the jambs I added some weather stripping to but there was been no water intrusion after 3 months with storms so I am pleased. The door works well, looks a lot better, and is a manageable installation for a DIYer if you take your time. I have been really happy with the dog door so far.

It's a very good door. Only thing is that the hardware wasn't included. I called the manufacturer and they sent it to me in 3 days

our boys love having a doggie door but the door is falling apart. we have friends with the same door and no problems. just wished it had lasted longer . we have contacted Home Depot waiting for reply will call EMCO Monday.

This is perfect door for pets to go in and out.

Door is nice but pet door can be difficult for my dogs to push open. It is heavier than a flap door which is what they were used to and sometimes I have to kick it open so they can go through.

We have this door for our screen in porch. It is covered by the roof and the dog door fell apart after two years. The three plastic panels are held together by a piece of rubber that fell apart after only two years. It is a terrible design.

We might need assistance installing. Do you have an installer?

So far, the door is holding up. When we got it home and open, we noticed a few issues. Such as scuffs, dents, and the movable glass was not within the frame. I can live with the scuffs and dents; especially since my husband believes the door will only last 6 months. We were able to take the window insert off to put it back on track. I hardly open the glass so can't say if there's anything wrong there. The instructions were a bit lacking. We used a YouTube video to help make sense of a few steps. I have a 90lb 8yo blue nose pit bull which absolutely loves the freedom of going in and out. I bought the XL dog door.

It's a good solid storm door. I gave it 4stars because it took 2 people over 4.5 hours to install. The Instructions were verbal complicated making them difficult to understand. Plus the photo sketches were under-developed, burry & too tiny to see the parts clearly. A neighbor had the exact storm door, minus the pet door, so I took my own photos of their door hinges, hardware, etc. to figure it correctly. Neither of us have installed a storm door before, but are experienced with difficult home projects. IF I had a do-over I'd hire someone to install it.

I had to alter mine to fit a small, unsquare area but it’s a great product for a lower cost door. The dog door works great too.

I have owned this 3 months- it has fallen off the hinges 2 times now- I have spoken to Anderson about replacement and they said it was caused by excessive force. That’s a joke because there’s no way I used excessive force. I as a debacle installed this door myself - the screws kept coming loose from the frame . This was a waste of my money and I won’t recommend this brand ever to anyone

Instruction manual is useful and makes installation easy. Only power tool required is a drill with drill bit. The package fits right in a Enclave SUV. The product is well made and we really love the pet door, which is top quality. Depending on expertise and help, installation may take from 15 minutes up to more than an hour.

The product is great. The pet door opening is so much better than the 'vinyl' flap that usually were in pet doors. Some improvements would be a stonger inside handle with more depth for better securing the latch. This one works fine but I don't think it is strong/secure enough to my liking. The other thing is that the door should come with an 'extender' for the side frame in case the door opening is longer than the door, as is mine. I called the support number and was informed that they didn't have this for this door. Overall, this pet door is so much better than the usual flap doors.

Very easy to install, and is very durable. I have two 70lbs pitbull mixed dogs that fit thru it with no problems. It's been about 3 weeks now and everytime I look at it, I smile.

Easy instructions to hang the door. My 65 pound pitbull fits through with no problem! Nice fitting doggie door. No air comes through . Best purchase we have made In a while

We had a Home Depot associate install the door. It turned put fantastic and didn't take our dog long to learn how to use it.

My advice is to keep well away from this very poorly made product. The seams and fitting are very badly constructed. Every time it rains we get water ingress inside the door. For days afterwards every time we open the door we get a trail of rust staining our deck. After a while the whole business of constantly cleaning the deck becomes tiresome and you learn to hate this product. Including installation this door cost well over $350. It's not worth the money or aggravation. Never again.

It is quite fabulous. Keeps out weather while letting dogs in and out. I would by it again.

We have a 12 pound long-haired Chihuahua and a 55 pound mixed German Shepherd, and both use it with ease. Seems to be holding up quite nicely for the first two months.
