Customer Reviews for ENCORE AZALEA 2 Gal. Autumn Carnation Shrub with Ruffled Pink Reblooming Flowers

This is a one gallon plant put into a 2 gallon container. I order 2 color versions of this Encore azalea, compared to the 1 gallon version I ordered two weeks previously, the 2 gallon versions were just 1 gallon plants in 2 gallon containers. Please see attached photo. The 2 gallon are the 3 plants in the front, the 1 gallon versions are the 2 plants in the back. Very disappointed in the value offered by Home Depot.

I ordered this and it was delivered May 13 of 2020 and I planted it. It had beautiful leaves that were slowly falling off as the days went by. Below is a photo of my plant today. For $40 I’m rather disappointed

This arrived well packaged and protected for shipping. Came out of box easily and in great shape! It is full leafy and green. I planted it right away and it’s doing well so far. I’ll update review If/when it blooms.

They arrived well packed and the based was wrapped to keep it moist. They are healthy looking and a nice size to start with. They slid out of pot easily and were easy to plant. Excited to see them bloom.

I ordered two Encore Azaleas in Pink. They arrived quickly and well packed. The soil in the pots was moist and the plant pots were set in plastic and tied with a string. I have not planted them in the landscape as I received them yesterday.

i bought this online because i could not find this particular Azalea in a local nursery. It arrived quickly but in a box that is several inches too short. The plant was healthy but top shoots were crushed by the top of the box. The box itself arrived in poor shape. I would only recommend purchasing live plants online when I can reasonably expect an easy return and refund.

I felt a strong urge to write a review of this plant after ordering the 5th Autumn Carnations from HD for three years in a row. Why? It is just too beautiful to be true! I first found this plant in a local HD store and thought it would be a great accent to my garden. It is way beyond my expectation! It blooms twice a year, Spring and Fall, and every season it blooms like crazy (see my picture) for more than a month. Every bud would split into three, and each single flower has multiple petals,. The color is truly pleasant and bright pink. Honestly I did nothing to it since it's established in the first season. Now you see why I ordered four more from Home Depot, one from the local store and three from online. The online purchase always came in very healthy and well-packed. By the way, this breed of Azalea does not seem to be picky about the location as I put them into different spots in my yard, some are shady but some are sunny (I am in Zone 7A). They are all doing well. The growth rate is slow to medium though. I am thinking of replacing some of my roses with this Azalea so that Japanese Beetle won't visit anymore.

The Encore Azalea makes a great addition to any landscape. It blooms 3 times a year and the blooms are spectacular. I would recommend ordering them online as they are shipped directly to you and there is no need to pack them into your vehicle.

Great packaging, shrubs in great shape and beautiful. A little bit smaller than what I was able to find at the local Nursery, but great plants!

Plants were full, green and healthy. They did not show any sign of transplant shock when I set them out.

Nice healthy looking plant. Had a couple blossoms because I purchased in the summer. They were well packaged with no damage from shipping. Mine are doing very well considering I planted them in the summer. Be sure to prep the soil for acidic plant and water well the first few weeks.
