This bracket is made for EZ handrail, which is a very good handrail. I like the fact that only one lag bolt is required to fasten it to a wall stud or wood post. This makes it easier to position than the kind that have three fasteners. However, the bracket I ordered arrived without the lag bolt, cap and screws mentioned in the description. By following the directions provided, my son and I put up this outdoor rail in short order. It is perfect for the back door stairway, and it looks great.

We love these handrails. Installed 2 6 footers and they are solid and look great. They were easy to install and come with a drill bit. We have some wooden handrails and they are always rough. These are great. Would never get wood again.

The real one on like it was supposed to work like it was supposed to easy installation I'd recommend it if you need a ADA rail for a deck

Replaced three ugly handrails on an interior stairway. Very attractive, inexpensive, clean-looking update. Added extra brackets for support, but not sure that was necessary. The handyman struggled with putting them in — took him around four hours to install them.

I added this bracket to my EZ Handrail for additional support. The bracket is well made and did provide the extra support I needed. It was a perfect match to the EZ Handrail and easy to install.

Installed 6' rail in elderly bathroom, 2 brackets come in the box. I recommend a third bracket if installing in wood stud wall & occupants are heavy or will put a lot of load on rail when using.

The Ez Handrail is a quality product and worth the expense.

High quality brackets; just like the rest of the EZ Handrail system. The only hardware that EZ Handrail did not include for my simple project (two posts, two post base covers, two of these brackets, a single round rail, and two end caps) were the 5/16 X 3 3/4 bolts and associated nuts and washers necessary to cross-bolt these brackets to the posts. Actually, you will most likely use 4 inch long bolts like I did, because that is what you will be able to find. You definitely want 5/16 rather than 1/4 bolts here, because that size matches the holes in these brackets. Depending on the angle of your stair (if you are using it on a stair), you can offset the holes in the posts from the centerline of the post so that the mounting surface of the bracket does not project past the edges of the post.
