Product works great, but company's supply bag is woefully small...
Product works great, but company's supply bag is woefully small - good only for REALLY small patches - and very expensive for anything other than REALLY small patches.. Tried some of the internet hacks with mixed results. Smart tool, and reasonably priced, but need to be made available with a larger supply at a smaller price

It worked ok, but just squeezing the bag to control flow is unreliable. If you put the gun down you have to find the right spot again on squeezing the bag. I think the gun could be done in plastic and reduce the cost a lot. If the cost was lower I would have been a bit more forgiving of the performance.

Overall my experience wasn't totally bad. I was trying to eliminate my hopper for a quicker application for touch up jobs. The gun wasn't bad although the the bag went way to fast for the cost. My hopper also does a much better job and is worth the cleanup and mixing.

If you have an air compressor then this texture gun is a great alternative to spray cans. It is a simple design and easy to use. 60 PSI for orange peel and 30 PSI for knock-down, then squeeze the vinyl bag to control the amount of product entering the air stream. It delivers a consistent pattern when applied properly. No learning curve, and the bags are resealable. Beware that the 20 oz bags go quickly! 1 bag covered a 4'x4' space with medium orange peel. Ideal for small touch-ups, but too expensive per bag if texturing an entire room. Compare the cost of Homax Professional cans at $18 each to this gun at $49 and $7 per bag. In my experience, the EZ-Pro gun wins because Homax does not deliver a consistent spray pattern from an aerosol can.

This did not work as advertised. Even with adjusting pressures...
This did not work as advertised. Even with adjusting pressures and squeeze rate on the bag, more of the product ended up on my hand than did on the wall. What made it to the wall worked ok. But if you have a large area just get the hopper...and for a patch job, use the can.

I remodel/repair all types of homes and businesses and frequently find myself having to match existing orange peel or knock-down textures. In the past, I've used spray can products for small jobs/repairs which provide adequate but inconsistent results due to the nozzles clogging or completely coming apart in my hand. The EZ-Pro gun gave me excellent control over goober size and placement accuracy with much less over-spray and drips than the canned sprayers. The gun cleans itself almost instantly with just a little water. The resealable EZ-Pro material pouches let you reuse them to reduce waste to zero. Here's a couple tricks I've come up with after using it awhile:
1. Take a 1/2" - 3/4" diameter dowel rod and cut it to 6" length. Then, with a band saw or hand saw, cut a bag-width slit about 5" down its length. The bottom of the bag will fit in the slit and you can roll the bag up like a toothpaste roller to get all the material out of your bag.
2. Clean out an empty EZ-Pro material bag by rinsing and then refilling it with water. Use the bag's cap to reseal and keep it with your EZ-Pro gun so you can clean it as soon as you're done with a job. Just takes a quick burst to clean. One bag of water will give you about a dozen cleanings.
3. No one likes hauling a compressor around just for a small repair job, so I have a portable compressed air bottle I keep in my truck with a hose barb and 8' x 3/8" hose fitted to the valve. Just grab the gun, the bottle and a package of material and zoom, you're ready to go.

This texture gun has a quick learning curve. You just squeeze the bag a little bit for fine texture, or harder for thick textures. It works great. Only issue is the small bags, they do not last as long as they say they are supposed to .

Works great. Used it to texture about 30 sq ft of ceiling in seconds. Super easy to clean. Took longer to fire up the compressor and lay out the hose than to to do the job. I am blown away.

The gun has a really low pressure and the bag does not give you anywhere close to 30 sqft like it’s presumed?It might be good if you’re a homeowner and need to touch up. Wouldn’t recommend to use it if you’re a professional drywall,taper.. I’ll stick to my Graco text machine or hopper!!
