Basic shovel, similar in design to those from 40 years ago. We got a half-dozen or so and one of them had the handle twisted a bit (not with the grain in line with the shovel - something you want to avoid breaking the shove handle), but the others are fine.
Sometimes there is a bit of give jumping on them for a large shovelful of dirt (or if the ground is hard clay) but they've held up fine for a few months.
If you want a basic shovel these definitely do the job.

Great shovel. Affordable, and has received a lot of use already in our new home. The front, sides, and backyard were a bit “let go” this spring and summer, so I inherited a ton of work to do. This shovel was one of the first purchases I made when we arrived at our new home.

We've had this shovel for 3 months and it's dug up maybe a 15 x 15 ft area. No mishandling. It was a good size and easy to use. However, just a day ago, the wooden shaft twisted and cracked, rendering the shovel unusable. Shame. It was serving it's purpose just fine before.
