This amazing little electric tiller exceeded my expectations. It is a bit to get used to, as opposed to the conventional gas models I've used in the past. But now I don't have to worry about my tiller never starting, since this is electric.

It does a great job tilling all soil--even hard, clumped up dirt. It is quiet and powerful. The cord stays out of the way most of the time so it really isn't an issue.

A lot of reviewers mention switch problems. The switch spring and button blew off after literally the first 5 feet of operation. I found the parts and put it back together but it just kept coming apart. The spring eventually vanished into the soil. I am still able to get it to start by sticking the button back in but it just falls back out. I have a farm so I used my disk to break up the soil before using the tiller. It actually did a good job of breaking up the clumps. The garden is about 35 by 70 feet and was done in about an hour. If not for the switch it would have easily gotten 5 stars. I purchased this a month ago and used it once.

Worked quite well for its first use in a series of 4x4 forms. Word of advice , do not till close to the perimeter due to overflow of soil .

Junk.Great for re-tilling just-tilled sandy loam but of little or no real world use.

Used it once so far. Tilled my flower bed. No muss no fuss. No gas, no oil, no pulling a cord. Light and easy to handle.

More powerful than I thought it was going to be

This 'little machine' is BIG on chewing up dirt! One thing I learned fast - with a hint from the operating instructions - HANG ON! Yes, make darn sure you have a good grip on the handle and do what the instructions say when starting the machine!I am very pleased with this cultivator/tiller!

After putting the tiller together, I took it for a test run and was totally surprised that it tilled my hard ground after reading the specs that said that it wouldn’t. I’m satisfied with this little tiller and it’s easy for me to handle.

Cultivator ran for exactly 5 minutes, never to run again. Took longer to assemble, disassemble & rebox for return. Thank you Home Depot for your great return policy.

Have used it twice. Light weight but strong. easy to remove blades for narrow places.

Very powerful tiller. Tore through thick lawn and churned up the earth. Still learning how to use it. Start out pushing and then pull back as it digs into the soil. Quiet.

The machine doesn't have enough weight to it and jumps around before it does what it needs to do. Also I received the item damaged upon arrival.

I bought this for small gardens and spaces. First use worked great. Everything I was looking for.

Easy to assemble. Cut through clay soil. Keeping the power cord out of the way is annoying but much less annoying than dealing with gasoline.

A Real Workhorse and a Life Saver for sure!

I live in the west Phoenix area with ground ranging from hard clay, rock-filled, and topped with a thick layer of sod. This tiller powered through more than I expected. I thought my friend's yard would prove to be too much for it, but not so. not only did this thing do the job well, it was able to pass rocks through the blades that I would have bet money would have jammed the blades. The thick sod layer was fairly easy too. Just be sure to clean out the plant material every now and then. The power cord was not an issue for me (I connected a 50 foot 12 guage extension cord). A regular 3 pronged plug will fit on the attached cord. It is fairly lightweight making it easy to transport. If you find that it needs more weight to dig deeper, just let it till I one spot for a little longer while rocking it side to side. It was easy to assemble and the instructions were clear. If you don't want to deal with a gasoline powered tiller, then this one is for you!
