    Excellent, Low Cost LED Lighting
Assuming you already have high hats in place, these are very easy to install, look great and product a warm, low-cost LED light. They are easy to clean as well.

    Good value
I used to buy Cree LED modules but thought I'd try this product since the price was attractive ($13 at the time). They seem to be just as good so far (after about 2-3 weeks).

    Started humming loudly
Within a week, all lights in both rooms started humming. No dimmers, just on/off. I was using theme instead of the LEDs I had to help with air sealing on the 2nd floor, buy a better brand, these are not worth your time.

Good product and HD representative was super to work with. Guided me to the right answer.
The lights are very easy to install ( replacements) and are clearly a well engineered and manufactured product. Actually worked with existing switches and dimmers. Have no problem recommending even to my brother in law.

    Good Downlight Bulb Replacement
Installed easily and is functioning properly. Has a good distribution of light with a decent amount of illuminance. Seems as though it's a higher temperature of color, it is a brighter white than a warm tone.

        Great UPDATE
Easy to install, better appearance, just as bright and a money saver in the long run. Just make sure you buy the "soft white"...the other is a grey, bright light that is not as nice for a kitchen or den...not as warm, kind of sterile.

        Stops the draft
This style of light installation was simple for existing can light and it stopped the cold air from coming into room from attic.

Good instructions and easy to install. Much brighter in the kitchen, I didn't realize how dim the old lights were.

          LED Bulbs
Love the light and the light kit. Looks great. 1 small flaw - I wish the connection was a little longer to make it easier to install.

          Love these!
We installed these in our kitchen/dining/hallway area (24 lights) and liked them so well, we installed them in our den and are now installing them in our basement rec room and kitchen area. We have a lot of lights and love the fact they don't get hot and heat up the room. We also love the dimming capability.

            BUZZZZZZZZZZ! ! ! ! ! POOR QUALITY
Unfortunately Home Depot let me down with this generation of Ecosmart Downlight. I purchased this because ECO575L was discontinued. When i plugged these lights in, they produced a very loud buzz. I tried these lights with 2 differnt cans; Halo and Commercial Electric. Additionally I tried these loghts with a regular switch and they work fine. However when tried with three different models, brand new LED rated luton dimmers. . . In every case they still buzzed. These no longer have the CREE logo on them so i assume they are lower quality. The light output and color is very nice but they are worthless because of the buzz when attached to a dimmer. I compare these to the original ecosmart 575L which have the cree logo and never buzz. I returned all 4 and purchased the actual CREE version. Those work perfect with all 3 dimmers. What a difference. I dont know why HD got rid of ECO-575L and replaced with this cheap low quality version. Do not buy. Stay away!

Nice and bright, but they buzz, buzz, buzz
I ended up returning all four of the lights purchased because they buzz even using a regular switch. The only reason I purchased these is because my local Home Depot couldn't find the 6 Cree tw lights that were supposed to be in stock. The Cree TW 65w equivalent lights are completely silent. I'm going to find the Cree lights at another location. Not to mention, they are even cheaper since my local utility rebates them.

                Compatibility Issue
From its packaging, it was impossible to figure out the installation approach. This product will only work in round ceiling cans by pressure on the cylinder walls. Unfortunately, my Prescolite can has a round opening; but, with a cube shaped, recessed body. My money was, graciously, refunded.

                  NICE BULB, EASY RETROFIT
Searched the web trying to find a retrofit for my 1990's Lightolier fixtures. Most everyone said it couldn't be done since these type of cans are removable and act as the actual bulb reflector. They also have slanted sides, so clips don't grip at all. Everyone said to just get new LED flood bulbs .After trying some other retrofit bulbs (Halo, Sylvania) which couldn't work, I tried one of these Ecosmart bulbs, and with some minimum modification to the Lightolier can and socket, got a nice fit and replaced it in the ceiling. Looks great and works well, including dimming. Went out and got three more and did my family room. Will be getting more soon for the rest of the house. I've heard that whoever owns Lightolier now does offer an LED retro kit at over $100 each. But with some minor mods these work fine.. I'm sold!

They hum on a LED dimmers
The home owner I installed these for didn't like them because of the humming. I personally don't like this style of trim because it doesn't always fit tightly to the ceiling.

Closest to tungston downlight bulbs of any available . . .
Prior to purchasing 46 of these for our new home we tried out 6 different LED downlights in our current home kitchen. All were listed as 2700k (warm white temperature), but none were the same color. All but this light were too white. That LED white that is too bright. This light was the closest to the standard 65w downlight color (temperature) of all, by a long shot. Just because the box says 2700k color temperature doesn't mean they are warm white - most are not - these are the closest we could find in October 2015.

                    specs look good, inferior electronics
I was in store and saw both the ecosmart and cree tw can downlights on sale. This ecosmart is based on lighting science technology where the previous ecosmart was driven by cree technology. Looking at the specs side by side the ecosmart uses less power to drive it and the light quality was good. Once installed however there was loud buzzing/humming from several of the lights. Some will blame the dimmer switch for this, but I returned these lights and exchanged them for the cree tw lights which did not buzz/hum as noticeably (cannot say it was eliminated completely but is liveable whereas the ecosmart was not). I will stick with cree from now on.
