lights seem brighter than the cfl's they replaced. happy with the immediate brightness vs. the frustrating warm up time for the cfls. replacing all (over 30) the can lites in my house with these. so far all the led lights work excellent.

Works as advertised, at a reasonable price.
As noted by others, doesn't dim as low as an incandescent bulb, but stll very usable. Hope they last as long as advertised.

Finally a solid BR30 light.
I put 6 of these in my bathrooms. Some were running side-by-side with CFLs and boy you could see the difference. No purple coloring, no slow turn on. They just work. My only issue is still the price; however, if they last as long as they should, I MIGHT get that extra cash back in 5 years...GULP.

Excellent Bulb
Finally found what I was looking for! Instant on, excellent quality of light - brighter than the 65W incandesant. My kitchen used to heat up after an hour or two using the old bulbs but these provide better light and they do not get hot. Time will tell if they meet the durability of 22,000 bulb life hours but they appear well made. Unless they start burning out shortly I will probably buy stock in this company - if they do start to die there is a supposed 5 yr warrantee.

Finally, a good LED...
Bought 1 @ the local Depot to try. Better lumens than the PAR30 CF. Does not run hot. Par can not even warm to the touch after 1 hour. Nice diffused soft white light, not streaky or directional, you would not recognize it as a LED. If it lasts as long as predicted it's good to go, I am ordering a case.

wanted to try LED lites
Wanted to replace my old flood lights in my kitchen recessed lites. These lights are on 90% of the time in my house. They listed as being brighter and more cost saving then the old bulbs. Upon receiving bulbs I installed in my kitchen and back hallway. I noticed a immediate difference in the brightness from the old bulbs. Love them.It will be interesting to see the cost savings on my electric bill.

Great deal for great LED lights
I have replaced all 8 of the bulbs in the can lights of our vaulted kitchen ceiling with these bulbs. They turn on instantly and are bright. I tried a few different LED bulbs and settled on these mainly because of the instant on. The others were acceptable lights but had a delay when flipping the switch. Not a big deal but these don't have that delay and are cheaper as well. Good for me.
I don't use a dimmer on the can lights so I can't comment on their ability to dim.
I hope that someone finds this helpful. :-)

Great lights - Great price
These warm white LED lights work perfectly in our kitchen recessed lights. The instant on of the LEDs is a great improvement over CFLs.

Love these Bulbs
Nice & bright. The bulb is a bit longer than a standard incandescent bulb (non reflector), so it protrudes from one of my fixtures just a bit. But i would buy these again in a heartbeat. They come on instantly and bright. I've put them in several fixtures already and I'll probably replace some other curly french fry bulbs. Yeah, they DO co$t, but they save you in the longer run.

Bright, instant-on
This is truly an "instant on" light, with no delay at all when the switch is turned on. Lights are bright, and color is good. I have not tested these with a dimmer, so can not say how well they perform in that environment.

Great bulb, decent price
Works great, quite bright (more like 75W equivalent rather than 65W), good color (incandescent-like), instant-on, and dimmable (although not as far down as incandescent...like 30% brightness at minimum). Only con is $12.50 per bulb is still pretty expensive to convert an entire house.

Works great with dimmer and canned lights
We opted for these because they were less costly than just the standard LED floodlights and they have worked out extremely well. They fit perfectly in our 5" recessed can lights, work well with our LED dimmer and provide a lot of light to our kitchen work areas.

Great Bulbs
These bulbs work very well, they have a good light color and they dim well. The light comes on instantly weather our switch is in full dim or full on position. I will be buying more for the rest of my recessed lights it's so great to go from 65W to 9W

More light than 65W incandescent floods
These flood lights produce a whiter light than their incandescent equivalents and light up our rooms better.
They are a great energy-saving product, wish they were a bit less expensive.

Instant On and Bright
These bulbs replaced the energy saving bulbs put in by the builder. They are so much better. Brightness and instant on are great. Less eye strain is noticeable as well.

Perfect LEDs
A perfect replacement for my existing 'can' lights. The dim just as well (using standard dimmers) and are good color. Instant on as well.
They are 'good' value compared to other LED's, but still a high price when compared to CFL's or Incandescent.

Excellent alternative to CFL
Excellent color, brightness (so far), and light spread. Unlike CFL, this one is instant on brightness. A little pricing for light bulbs.

Great lights
These are instant on - there is no lag as with other LED's I have used. Even the LED's that take a second to come on are far superior to CFL's which can take a few minutes to achieve full brightness. Further, CFL's tend to burn out if they are turned on and off too quickly. The only negative with LED's is the price, although HD's price was significantly cheaper than I have seen.

Product was better than expected
the lights were just as bright as the 65 watt bulbs i took out of the fixtures. The bulbs also didn't throw off any heat like the old bulbs. Highly reccomended product

Great value for energy efficient LED floods.
I ordered two cases of these (8 bulbs) to try them out, and have since ordered two more cases. Right now, for the price (just under $50) and free shipping, they can't be beat. They are dimmable, which was a must for me, and seem to work well.

Great quality lighting
I purchased these to replace some older R30 CFL bulbs. Those R30 CFL bulbs were said to last about 9 years, yet several of the 15 bulbs were burning out at just two years. Aside from that they took about about a minute to warm up and the color wasn't uniform. Some bulbs would have a green hue while others yellow. Also for those wondering BR30 bulbs will work fine in the same can lighting fixtures R30 bulbs you might be replacing.
That is when I saw that Home Depot had these LED based flood lights. These bulbs are slightly brighter than the 65 watt CFL bulbs they replaced, they light up instantly when turned on, and the color is very uniform between the bulbs. There really isn't a power savings going from CFL to these bulbs, but should one break these are more environmentally friendly. The five year warranty through Home Depot makes replacement hassle free as well. If you have been waiting for a power saving bulb to replace your existing halogen flood lamps, I can highly recommend these bulbs.

Awesome so far
Was worried that the color of the light would be different than our old 65 watt bulbs, but the color is almost exactly the same, though a little brighter in terms of light output. They are perfect, and they reduced our first monthly electricity bill by about $20. Won't take long to make up the cost on these, especially if they last us 20+ years as they're supposed to, and with the very low price compared to other comparable LEDs which are $30+. I highly recommend them, especially if you have a ton of recessed lights as we do (about 24 total).
Another thing that's really nice is the bulbs don't get hot to the touch at all -- they are always cool. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but when you have 10+ bulbs on during the heat of the summer, it makes a difference.
The only con I can think of is they don't dim as low as our previous 65 watt bulbs. Maybe only about half way vs almost all the way off with our previous bulbs. This doesn't bug me in the least but may be a problem to others.

Very nice light
This light is a great in terms of energy and heat output. The lighting itself if every bit as good as a incandescent and better than a fluorescent because it is instant-on. If you can handle the upfront cost it will more than pay for itself in the long run.

Too Long
The bulbs hung out of the ceiling cans. Too long and really uncomfortable light on the eyes. The bulbs are going back.
