This was easy to assemble after I googled the product and watched the video on how to install. The instructions are hard to decipher. After watching the video it was a breeze to install.

We ordered two of these and both came with the brackets missing (I attached an image of the missing pieces). Otherwise, the shelf is great.

When I assembled shelf, most struggle I had was pre-cut holes on poles. They have double necks than advertisement showed. To hung on poles was not 100% all the way down on one side. I called support a With picture. They said this should be fine.They come in 8 poles. I wish there is 4 72" poles that would be easier to assembled.

We purchased this shelf to go into our shed and hold plastic totes. I was please to see that the measurements are exact and this shelf will hold the number of totes we had hoped. I may be ordering a 2nd one for the other side of the shed.

We used this in one of the office closets in our new home. It is heavy enough to hold extra copy paper and supplies, is made very sturdy and perfect size for the closet. The only problem we had was trying to put it together. It was difficult to put the second tier on because there was no connector to hold it in place. We did manage to get it put together but in comparison with other shelving units we have purchased this one was the most difficult to built.

Edsal is a heavy-duty industrial brand. I own several of their products and am very familiar with them through the industrial supply distributor I work for. The only improvement that I would make for this product is to make the upright in one 6 ft long piece instead of two 3 ft pieces. It's a little fidgety until the center beams are installed to make it solid. The rivets don't want to go all the way to the bottom of the slots, so I hammered them down with a slotted screwdriver to bottom them out in the slots. Two sets of hands will help assembling these units. Can be frustrating with only one person to do the job. 2 of us assembled 2 of these in an hour. Extremely solid product when completed. Worked great!

It is a perfect fit for the garage. It matches the one we already have. I found it easy to assemble and great for all the things I need to store.

I bought an earlier unit like this, and my impression is that this one is less sturdy/solid, but I may be wrong. I believe it is still rated to carry the same load. Also, I was disappointed in the help finding a handyman to assemble. Perhaps the service is not intended to find handymen. Some contractors responded, or some who thought this was an 'installation,' but no true handymen.

The quality of this shelf is great, and it feels sturdy, especially for my purposes of odds and ends toys and misc garage storage. The assembly instructions were lacking for a first timer but after I was able to figure this out it was fairly easy. Definitely recommend a rubber mallet and a second person to assemble.

It's a great shelving for storage, the only thing could of been little better is the wood shelving could of been little more stronger material, because over the time it may be bending from the weight of the product.

Very strong and fits perfectly in my area

On one hand, now that I have it put together, it seems to be working well. If your good with putting stuff together and have a lot of confidence in you abilities, this might be a good purchase. But for the average person, I think the frustration level at while putting it together will be extremely high. For the average person, find something easier to assemble. That said, I did manage to put it together. But one interesting thing is that it bends slightly to one side. Not so much that it doesn't stand up straight, and I still managed to get the shelves into their slots, but there is a noticeable bend. I could not figure out why. I took it apart and put it together several times to try and remove the bend, but that did not work. I still don't understand why it's doing that. But the that bend does not seem to effect how it performs. I do recommend anchoring it to the wall. If it ever did fall, maybe a child climbing up it, the weight could kill.

Corner posts have no fasteners. Have to assemble with shelf straddling the post halves. Older models had separate fasteners to join post halves

Product is poor quality.

The shelves difficult to assemble and when finished they were not square butsomewhat spiral-like. This distortion caused by defective rivetsthat join the parts. Shelf supports made an angle slightly less than 90 degreeswith vertical supports. Edsal will send new shelves. Don’t have yet.

I was very disappointed in the directions, they were horrible and not very helpful. Second the uprights are only about 3 feet tall and in order to make it to the 72 inches in height they have to be bolted together. No hardware for that or instructions. It is crooked and not stable on the ground.

Poor quality, frustrating and difficult to assemble.

I found it very difficult to assemble. Parts were hard to line up. It took two people but we eventually got it together.

I don't understand why the four main pillars of the unit are actually eight separate pieces instead of four. Joining them together with a shelf brace doesn't seem stable AND it definitely caused problems constructing a properly straight shelf. We had to take it apart and rebuild it. And honestly, without that one flaw it would have been easy to assemble and sturdy. However, it's not a great shelf. For us it's an "it'll do" shelf.

The shelf is 6’ high. It would be a much better design if the four corner pieces were each one 6’ long piece rather than two 3’ pieces that awkwardly fit together.

It's more difficult to assemble than it should be because the uprights are thin enough they can twist making insert the rails into the slots quite difficult if there's the slightest twisting. But in the end we got it together and it holds a lot of weight!
