I have been looking around for a replacement for my 400-watt HID lights in my shop which are energy guzzlers and take a while to start up and if shut off they need to cool to restart. I saw these EnviroLite 8-foot 600-watt LED White MV 10,067 Lumen Linear Strip Light. This 600-Watt equivalent 8 ft. Integrated LED White Light with 10,067 lumens of 5,000K white light will certainly help with that purpose. These are fairly easy to install and are multi-voltage from 120-277v and rated at 83 watts of energy used. This fixture puts out a 5000K Daylight color temperature for crystal clear illumination. This fixture is design to be direct attached to structure which doesn’t appear to being able to be suspended from a chain. The 8-ft length is a little awkward to work with and the long narrow frame want to bend fairly easily so extra care is needed when installing and need a 2nd person to assist in that part of the installation procedure. The longer light would allow for fewer electrical connections than using shorter fixtures to achieve the same amount of coverage.

This EnviroLite 8 ft. 600-Watt Equivalent Integrated LED White MV 10,067 Lumens Linear Strip Light gives off a very nice bright light to illuminate most of my basement. Installation is fairly simple with simple by just plugging the two main wires into its snap-in assembly. It is compatible with 10-volt dimmers and wiring. My only issue with installing the light was the mounting holes are not spaced for 16 inch on center beams, which I would have preferred. Other than that, everything you need is included for installation.

Perfect for a two car garage.  I replaced a four foot (5,000 lumen) LED fixture which also provided a lot of light (no complaints on my part), but this is an improvement and fills the garage with lots of bright light (no more dark corners.  It was easy to install (simple three wire approach).  I installed it alone, had to balance it on a tall step-ladder to align and set the anchors.  It took about one hour to install.  I'd recommend two people for the install, this is a long light and can get away from one person if you're not careful.  Overall, I'm really happy with this light and would definitely recommend it to others, especially if you have a two car garage.  

The light fixtures were easy to assemble. Not like most LED strips with pre-manufactured cords. Wire up fixtures just like any standard florescent light strip. I could not believe how bright these LED light strips are.

Wanted to brightness from the standard 800 lumens you get. This was exactly what i was looking for. very bright. went right over the old key light holes with a cover included with the lights. Being 8 foot long was a little difficult to install by myself. Worth the money.i went with these as i didn't want wires running on the inside of the garage wall as i plan to finish the garage one day.

great for shops, basements or garages. nice white light , works good for color matching. Easy to install and hook up with quick connection for wiring. Mine was bent during shipping but I was able to bend it acceptably back to shape, there is a small crease in the plastic covering but it's in my shop so not critical. On the website here it says 10,067 lumens, on the box it says 9,600. It isnt a critical difference but it seems strange its listed that way.

Super quality LED system. From past experience with LED flourecent replacements this one should last for quite a while. I am using in for an outside shed and looking to power it all with solar. This one should work just fine. Easy to install, had the necessary holes in the back for mounting, and while it came with no instructions that was never a problem for me. It is wired for use with a dimmer switch. I am using it in an 10ft X 9ft Shed that I am setting up for finishing and painting of custom furniture and Kitchen and Bathroom Cabinets, doing one piece at a time. PS: The lamp is plenty bright enough to see any flaws or imperfections that decorators call "Character" ;)

I have two of these lights because they are so handy to install and they give off a lot of light. After installing the first one in my laundry area, I was so impressed, I went out and bought another one to put up in my hobby area. You can either hard wire the light or add a cord and make it a plug in light. The light fixture comes with everything you need to install it and the instructions are simple and easy to follow. I would highly recommend this light if you need lots of light in a confined area.

To start off with these are normally used for commercial applications. I have seen a number of them so when this popped up I knew I had the perfect place for it. I have removed and replaced with help of my electrician 3 8 foot t-12 fixtures and replaced them with LED. I had one dark spot left in my garage and that is where this will be installed. This unit in comparison with say a t-8 fixture saves at least 30% possibly more in energy. The feature that stands out is its look. Its sleek and low profile so it will fit perfectly in the area that I need. I read thru the instructions and it appears to be super easy to install but due to a neighbor recently doing a bunch of illegal electrical work on a rental property the county is watching closely so I have to wait for my electrician to install this. Its light and looks great. I cannot wait to have this installed! I plan to purchase at least one more for my garage and one more for my shop light. I will FINALLY be 100% LED at my home. LED saves SO much energy you cannot go wrong with this fixture.

Super bright, it is like bringing daylight indoors. This unit completely replaces the existing fixture. It is slightly narrower (perhaps 0.5 inch) and slightly shorter (perhaps 1.5 inches) than the original fluorescent unit so it fit the space without problem. In my case the power feed was near the end so I drilled another access hole for the wires. A center feed is no problem because the knockout is in the center. To make the installation easy the lanyard wires that support the section with the LEDS are preinstalled, unlike some other products that require the consumer to attach the lanyard wires.

This lamp fixture seems ideal for lighting a hall or meeting area with capability for dimming all the fixtures from a single controller. This lamp fixture has a nice clean design with a white metal case and a translucent lens. No tools are needed to remove the lens or to open the case to reveal the internal wiring. Light is produced by a strip of 120 LEDs - there are no bulbs as such. The fixture is intended for flush mount to the ceiling with a junction box at the midpoint of the 4 ft length. The power connection is intended for solid wire rather than stranded, and will accept #12, #14, or #16 conductors. It is not intended for a cord with stranded wire, and no chains are provided for a suspended installation. The fixture puts out plenty of light and is rated at 4800 lumens, comparable to a 2 bulb fluorescent unit, but only uses about half the power. I measured it at 41 Watts with a power factor of .94. Having the capability of being dimmed seems to be the best feature of this fixture. If you just want a shop light, this is likely not the fixture for you as there as less expensive non-dimming shop lights available (with cord and hanging chains). I did not evaluate the fixture with a dimmer as the recommended dimmers cost about twice as much as this fixture. However, one of the recommended dimmers will handle at least 18 of these fixtures. Attached are a few photos that show what you'll be dealing with inside the fixture.

Great LED single tube fixture! The longer that LED technology is out, the better the products get. This integrated fixture is no exception to that premise. The illumination provided is nice and even and bright, the color temperature is "daylight white" (just a hint of bluish light), it generates almost no heat, and the installation into an existing application was a snap! The wide voltage range makes for a fairly carefree install, and I could reuse the existing ceiling box for my wiring. It does have an interesting control voltage path (0-10V) for local dimming, and those wires must be properly capped (don't ask how I know this) and I use it full brightness.

LED home and commercial lighting technology is evolving quickly. In addition to the budget friendly savings you get from their frugal energy demands, they are quickly replacing traditional Fluorescent lamp fixtures with more compact, longer life and ever brighter light output fixtures that quickly pay for themselves with energy savings and the need for fewer light fixtures for a given square footage of work or living area because of the remarkable light output they produce. Fixtures like this one leave physically large, hot running and short bulb life lighting devices designed for fluorescent and incandescent bulbs in the dust. This Envirolite 4 foot LED fixture is less than half the width of an old double tube fluorescent fixture with its reflector, yet it produces 5,069 Lumens of white light, compared to the 3,500 lumens of the fluorescent fixture that you see only for a brief time when the tubes are brand new. Fluorescents age get dim and begin to get noisy and flicker much sooner than they should, and in my experience with some brands, sooner than they are rated for. This is a heavy, well designed, good looking and meticulously assembled light fixture with some really helpful features and excellent quality parts. The lamp comes completely assembled for safe shipping, but you have to open it up to wire it. It is designed to be hard wired, so it does not come with a cord and plug, although it is quick and easy to convert it as I actually did, as I had a surface mounted electrical outlet box, not a flush electrical box designed to mount a lamp fixture tight against the ceiling. Either way, you need access to the inside of the base to secure it to the ceiling. Electricians as well as home owners who do their own work will appreciate what I discovered, which is that everything snaps together very precisely, so you do not need any tools to open it up, unlike most other light fixtures that are assembled with screws for everything. The plastic dome as well as the inside full length plate that holds the LED ”emitter “dots” are very rigid. They snap on and off the base by hand pressure only, as they are held tightly in place by mating with indents along the base. If you are installing a number of them, the job will be fast and easy because of this feature. This fixture, which can only be described as very high quality, also includes something I have never seen before. It has a fast connect plug that allows you to simply push the bare ends of your black and white power wires into the connector, which locks them in, and you are done. The ground wire uses the traditional twist-on plastic cap method, with the required cap included in the parts bag you get containing the screws to attach the lamp fixture to the electrical box and secure it to the ceiling. A detailed installation pamphlet is included. I had it up in place and ready to go in just a few minutes. When I turned it on, I was amazed at the bright white light that filled the room. I will buy more of them, and I think you will also be pleased with this product. My workbench area is now brightly lit with none of the harsh dark shadows I had before with lightbulbs overhead. Huge improvement.

Bright, very bright. Replaced an aged fluorescent fixture with this. Nearly 5000 lumens and a 4000K spectrum is a lot of light. Good thing as I need it in my garage more than ever with my aging eyes. Installation wasn't difficult although I did have to make a couple of new mounting holes to attach it to the joists in the garage. Odd that the holes in the fixture didn't line up with 16" or 24" spacing. This is dimmable though I didn't install one. A compatible dimmer list is shown in the pictures below.

A great shop light alternative to LED or Fluorescent bulbs. This light uses a strip of discrete LED's to very effectively replicate the same bright light you would get from a bulb, but requiring less energy and I hope longer life as well. The packaging is surprisingly heavy duty and well designed. The LED strip portion pops off the case to give you access to wiring and to give you a variety of mounting options. It comes with an adapter so you can mount it to a ceiling box, but it can be directly mounted to any surface. I mounted mine directly to the pegboard behind my work table. There are connections to install a dimmer, but as a shop light, I can't imagine the need to run it at less than full brightness. But the option is there if you want to purchase a separate dimmer module. The light is instant on. There is no hum or flicker. I'm probably going to get a couple more to extend the light bar above my work space.

I replaced the old fluorescent light fixture over my workbench with this four-foot LED unit. Only three of the four bulbs worked, and it took a while for them to light up. This new LED fixture puts out 4914 Lumens while consuming only 42 watts. It produces a very bright (4000K) light over the workbench. The unit weighs less than five pounds. It has two cable safety straps that support the LED array making very easy for one man to install. I mounted it hanging from a chain (just like the old unit) and added a pull-chain switch. As a pleasant surprise…a package of screws, wire nut connectors, and even drywall anchors is included. The installation instructions are simple and easy to understand – just the typical black-white-green wire connections. It is a nice simple clean white metal fixture with a translucent plastic lens covering the LED’s. It starts quickly and does not hum like fluorescent fixtures. It is a good choice for basements, laundry/utility rooms, or the garage. I am very satisfied with the appearance and performance of this light fixture.

This light is quite bright and has a good color temperature for a shop or a work room, the color temperature, I would call it about 5800k it is just slightly less blue than my 6500k T8 bulbs, and a fair about whiter than my T12 CW HO cool white bulbs. The light output is about equal to 2 -F96 T12 CW HO fluorescent bulbs. The quality is about what you see for fluorescent fixtures, fairly light weight metal. The lens cover is quite light weight and thin, you will need to be careful with it. The fixture itself is quite easy to install, it comes with screws, wall anchors, wire nuts and 2 plates that snap to the back of the fixture to cover the electrical box if you are mounting it to one, all that is needed is to push the wires into the quick connect plug, hook up the ground, and screw the light to the ceiling. A couple of nice features are that the plug on the quick connect has 4 holes so you can daisy chain lights, it also will unplug from the light if you need to change your fixture. It has wires to add in a dimmer is you desire. The light also has "safety cables" that hold up the LED parts to the base while you are installing and wiring it. The mounting holes are in kind of funny places toward the end of the fixture and are fine if you are installing it lengthwise with rafters or drilling your own holes in drywall but they do not line up with the joists if you are mounting perpendicular to the rafters, so you would need to drill your own mounting holes in the fixture base. It is easy to take off the lens cover by just squeezing in a little and pulling. To remove the LED strip from the base you just use a small screwdriver and pry a little between the base and the LED strip and pull to release the clips. They say the fixture is good for damp locations. The fixture is about 96" long, 2.25" wide, about 2.75" tall and weighs about 8lb 10oz. It comes with a 5 year warranty. All in all a nice fixture that would be a nice replacement for a two tube 8ft fluorescent fixture.

Perfect solution for my poorly lit, residential, two-car garage. I replaced a single incandescent light fixture. Installation was simple (about one hour). The light is bright white and since the fixture is four feet long, it distributed the light more evenly in the garage. I recommend taking a few minutes and reading the installation instructions. Just makes the entire installation so much easier. I didn't use the included drywall anchors. Instead I prefer pop-toggles, since this light is located above my cars, pop-toggles are more secure (although the assembly is very light, not much chance of falling). Instant on/off, no noise or hum and very bright light at reduced cost, but, more important in Florida, less heat.

Ease of install and really brightened my 3 stall unfinished garage with over 16’ joist mounting height. I purchased three 8-footers and ran them perpendicular to the garage door openings so that they are lengthwise in the bays. Perfect slim width to run along joists.

I spaced four of them across the 14 foot high celling in my garage. the light from them is bright and lights up the area very well. They were easy to mount no assembly required. Would defiantly use them again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Designers Fountain 4 ft LED strip light is a beautiful addition to our garage. The installationis not for beginners as you have to cut and splice wires, but if you have a bit of knowledge and patience it's easy enough. I like that the end is flat so it's easy to add more lights on if you need to. And I like how bright the bulbs are, it puts out more than enough light for my one car garage. I'd definitely consider buying more.
