If you just need a garage quality piano hinge, this will do the job. But if you need something that has a quality feel and finish, this misses the mark by quite a long way! The screws don't fit the countersunk holes. The finish scratches of very easily. The screws aren't even the same finish. The whole hinge rattles because it's not a tight fit at the barrel. Don't buy this hinge if you are doing a nice project.

I used it to hang a poster frame as a door on a cabinet I made. The frame is 27" by 39". I had to cut the 48" hinge down to 39" with a cutting wheel. The hinge works good.

One of my winter projects this year is to build a tool store for the numerous long tools that I have. They are too long to fit in a regular tool chest and I am running out of wall space where I can hang these tools, yet keep them accessible. This tool chest will be about eight feet high and nearly four feet wide. There will be four doors on the tool chest and that makes this 48 inch hinge an ideal solution for each door. The hinge is made of steel and comes with plenty of small screws to fit the hinge to the cabinet. The screw holes are two inches apart and that means it will be easily spreading the load throughout the length of the hinge. The oil rubbed bronze effect coloring is not too easy to see on this hinge and it looks more like it is painted very dark brown or black. That is not an issue for me but it may be in some situations. Still, I am happy enough with this product and I will be getting more when I build my new cabinet.

I bought it to use for a bench seat that has storage underneath. The quality is very good and the seat raises and lowers very nicely. I am happy with the purchase and you could get several different finishes on the piano hinge to suit your decor.

I've made many large wooden toy boxes using these hinges for the lid and they work perfectly.

this is a replacement for 4 small hinges on my camper to hold the big screen tv up.. Several people have used these on the swing up door that holds the tv and no more problems.

With the given screws and proper mounting, it can hold easily 50lbs+. I would not recommend for items over 90lbs to be on the safe side with the addition of longer screws. Great product and finish. Will buy again

A bit flimsy but great for the price

This hinge has the worst plating I have ever encountered. When I removed the taped-on screws, the plating came off with the tape. When I cut the hinge to length, the plating flaked off like cheap paint at the cut. Brass-colored spray-paint has better adhesion than this garbage. Nevertheless, it does the job as cheap piano hinges go.

Built quality is good

Hinge pins are very loose (undersize). Allows the door to sag and overall makes for a poor fit in my installation.
