I used these to create hula hoops along with 3/4 in. Irrigation Tubing. They were not a super snug fit but just enough to hold them together. To make the hoops stay good electrical tape is essential and I found that after I wrapped it generously with the tape that the hoops work great. :-)

It worked perfectly on the dishwasher drain hose.

It did what I needed it to do, join dissimilar one inch hoses, for a small project I had. The fit is snug, but I still used clamps even though the pressure will be minimal. The hoses used were clear vinyl for visual and blue vinyl lay flat tubing for covering a distance.

Very difficult to use on pond tubing.

I spliced sprinkler PVC in the ground. It was hard to insert on the second half of the pipe due to angle, but did it. Even though I used braces and tightened them quite hard, it leaked. I can't blame the piece here, as this was my first attempt at this, but the splicer survived the pressure.

Neither the 1” nor the 1 1/4” fit my Maytag washer hose .

I had a hole in my 1.5 inch plastic pipe for my garden pond waterfall. I cut the pipe to remove the hole and then inserted the splice. I used two hose clamps to hold the splice in place. No more leak!
