Seems very expensive to me. I'd like to see some less expensive pipe alternatives offered for gaspiping. As a homeowner,I don't buy copper pipe often, so I was confused by the labeling .........3/8". If it was labeled 1/2" OD on the package I missed it. Consequently I purchased the wrong size initially and had to return to get the correct size.
People who don't understand copper tubing nominal sizes should just hire a professional plumber. This is standard 3/8 nominal size tubing. OD is 1/2" which is standard for 3/8 tubing. ID is actually .43".
i should have learned by now to completely remove the item from the box and inspect it prior to purchase. it had been returned, one corner of the box was open (spoiler alert). when i opened to box at home i saw that the tubing had been previously cut and a second cut attempted (by someone that had no clue how to use a tubing cutter), at least they put the cut off piece back in the box. luckily there was enough to complete my project..home depot needs to better inspect returned products prior to returning them to the shelves. not even the first time this sort of thing has happened to me. other than that the product itself was just the ticket.
