This was used in a sink faucet to connect a water line. I went thru 3 of them and couldn't stop it leaking. I had to go to a plumbing store and purchase one. Then it worked. Home depot has poor quality.

Make sure you wrap it 6-7 times around with the teflon tape if you want a water tight seal. I also use a coat of pipe thread sealant over the tape for good measure. Never a problem.
