I recently had to perform some joists sistering because an irresponsible “plumber” had cut out a 4” wide x 3” high block from the underside of the joists. These cuts were made directly in the middle of a16’ span to run a steam pipe and caused the floor to sag. The bolts came in very handy allowing me to tightly bond the sister with the existing joists to reinforce them.

The tinsel strength of these bolts are not very good. I was able to snap a bolt in half when tightening down on the nut using a small socket wrench. Maybe it was a defective bolt didn't have an issue with the others.

The everbilt zinc 1/4 x 20 x 1 was used with 48" x 1" Aluminum straps to repair aboveground pool wall that was discovered damaged during our installation of a new liner.

It’s a carriage bolt. It holds things together. Worked marvelously

I had one of the screws to get stuck in the hole and in trying to get it out the tip got bent and now the nust won't go on

Qualified response as one of the bolts I purchased was NOT threaded to end of bolt. I had to cut it short with hack saw. Quality control issue?

These carriage bolts were easy to install. They did the job and they will continue to do the job. I use them to make a home made bed frame that will last a very long time

Well, it's a bolt... I bought these for sistering floor joists and decided to go with 4.5" because my old joists were not straight and I needed extra length to pull them together. They holding up pretty good. Just keep in mind that they are not for use with treated lumber.

Carriage bolts are perfect for are deck. No worrying about it fallen apart. Easy to use.

Used for cornhole board legs. Works great!

It said it was zinc plated but I swear it must have been sterling silver it looked so pretty. Held up to my intense efforts to put it into place. I can't believe I was able to buy this beauty for $.63. Be still my heart.
