I purchased 2 packs of these to install on a couple cutting boards I made. These work pretty good for this purpose. Aesthetically speaking, they look great on a cutting board. They raise it up about 1/4" off of the counter and give the board just enough clearance so that it will not sit in or soak up any liquid on the counter. The rubber pads do a decent job of preventing the cutting board from moving around, but not the best job. There are better, more "sticky", rubber pads out there that hold cutting boards more firmly in place. However, this product is designed for furniture and the extra weight that furniture provides. I believed that if used in that capacity, the pads would grip much better (this is why I still give it 5 stars). Additionally, the rubber pads have a metal washer in them which will help the screw stay nice and tight. Overall a good product.

I should have installed these pads on my furniture years ago. I was having to straighten out my couch and chairs every other day, but now they don't move an inch on my hard wood floors.

This product was exactly what we needed to stop a traveling couch from moving across our hardwood floor. We found that adhesive options could not withstand the weight and would frequently come off. The screw-in option was much more appropriate for our needs and doesn't elevate the couch too much.

These are low profile, yet very "beefy" for anti-skid. I have countersunk holes in the bottom of hand-made furniture so the profile is very low (1/8"), but have also used without countersinking. I have used these over half-a-dozen times on several projects, and will continue to favor this brand and size when looking for anti-skid pads.
