The screws are breaking while being screwed! Awful quality.

The metal is so soft, it might as well be made of pewter. In one session, I had a screw bend, another sheared (the other half is inside a 2x4), and many stripped. I wish HD would stop pawning this cheap garbage made in the PRC.

I bought these kinds of screws to secure & fix the old, worn, rusted ones that were installed a few years ago. And they met my expected endurance & quality. Great buy.

I purchased the #12 x 2" and the #10 x 1.5" to use when mounting wooden brackets (homemade) for several heavy bird houses. These screws were perfect for that task. Sturdy with deep threaded heads.

Use to put together a garden box. Out of the 100 found only 1 that had extra material not burred out of the Phillips head. This is the second box we have purchased and the last box had no defective ones. This picture shown with the extra material before the threads is incorrect for this screw, as the 3/4 does not have this feature.
