I read the reviews about this gasket having a larger inside diameter than 2-1/8" and hoped Everbilt fixed the problem by now but they didn't. As you can see in the attached photo, the inside diameter was just over 2-1/2" which would obviously cause a leak. Even if it were the correct diameter and tight to the flush valve, it still would not have worked. The rubber is so hard that it held the tank 1/2" above the bowl did not allow the tank to make contact with the bowl and rest on its mounts. The gasket needs to compress to form a water tight seal between the bowl and valve tube. This is going back to the store and I wasted my time.

The gasket is 2-3/8, not the 2-1/8 as advertised on the package. I was able to get this to work on a 40+ year-old American Standard tank mated to a 20 year-old made in Mexico bowl. But the gasket was definitely not tight to the tailpiece like it would have been had it actually been 2-1/8. Also, the gasket is pretty hard and it also does not go over the tank nut...hence the off the mounts problem noted below. Now the tank sits high, on not on the bowl mounts. So even though it works (albeit not properly as tank is not resting on the mounts), I'll have to think about disassembling and coming up with another solution. Also disappointing that they offer the tank bolt kit as a separate item and the proper 2-1/8" gasket as a separate item, but buying them separately more than doubles the price.

Not all gaskets are the same, even though they are the same size. The bolts were great and held well, but I had to go to Home Depot with my old gasket in hand and rummage through the boxes to find the exact one. I have an old toilet without a brand name of any kind listed, so that is probably the problem.

The kit included all parts needed for the reinstallation of the water tank. Good quality material used. So far no leaks have been noted. Would highly recommend this kit.

Wasted 4 hrs of my time trying to get this to work on my toilet. Re-seated it over and over and over and it always leaked. Then I came on here and read the reviews where people said the gasket, which is advertised as 2 1/8", is really more like 2 3/8". I thought, there's no way it's that far off so I measured it. Sure enough, it measured 2 3/8". No wonder it would never seal the 2" discharge tube. Returned it, told the folks at HD that they need to fix this problem, then promptly went to Lowes and bought a universal 2" gasket. Worked perfectly the first time. Home Depot needs to fix this. For such a small, inexpensive part, they're losing customers by not addressing this issue.

Does not fit. Had to drive back to the store 20 miles to get a different one.

It does not fit on a 2 inch flush valve. It is too small to fit into the hexagon shape value. Totally waste of time in buying and trying installing this. Will return it.

Inside diameter on package is 2 1/8". Actual inside diameter is 2 3/8"+ and too large to work. Is loose on 2 1/4" tailpipe and won't fit in 2 1/4" hole in toilet. Leaks A lot when installed. Returned and got 2 1/8" at Lowes that works fine. HD needs quality control. Bad batch or bad design. Went back and all on shelf are bad. HD has one labeled extra thick which is made the 2 1/8" as labled, but I don't want to risk extra thick. HD is usually better than Lowes but not in plumbing
