used it to hold an access door to plumbing shut-off valves closed. works well and access is MUCH easier and faster than the nails that were used. no tools needed!

These are cheap quality. They do not operate smoothly and two if the six I bought fell apart; the knob came off. Would not buy again

If your building anything, go where you’ll know will have what you need. I used this simple little latch for our cat door. Easy for just about anyone can install it. Now, I’ll be starting my next project.
