Never buy plastic when it comes to water prevention. Buy aluminum and ot won't crack or detero

Great combination with the water heater.a little bigger just in case there is a leak.

Drain pan is lightweight and flexible enough to easily maneuver under the water heater. I would definitely recommend this product. I had a water heater that leaked around the bottom and ruined some items nearby, if I would have had this pan, that would not have happened. Hind Sight!

Was considering an aluminum pan, however, there was only one 26" pan left and it was dented on the bottom. Decided to get a plastic one instead. It was less money and the flexibility turned out to be an asset when installing. I had to extend the bottom drain plug to allow for water circulation between my water heater and Hot Water Generator on my Heat Pump. This may have hit the aluminum pan, but just bent the plastic and it popped back up after setting in place. I added a 1" to 3/4" PVC adapter and connected the fitting to my drain pipework. Haven't leak tested the drain yet, but it's a snug fit and don't expect any issues.

26 inch pan was too small for my water heater. Home Depo should have sent larger pan, at least 28 inches.

was recommend for a 50 gal water heater and is not the correct one Site gives bad recommendation
