The nipple fitting that came in the original water heater...
The nipple fitting that came in the original water heater hose kit just didn't work very well. Needed something I could get a wrench on to solve my problem and this worked out perfectly.

Sure beats galvanized for rust. Unfortunately some plumbers are lazy. It shouldn’t have been galvanized to begin with and then I wouldn’t have had to replace it.
