Still leaking after I capped it

Worked like the description said...

The cap Everbilt 613 289 LFA-105 in combination with a Danco 88569 1/2” OD flat washer seals the valve without a drip. During my renovation, worked like a champ. Bought (3) caps for the toilet and sink with a pack of washers. Valves were frozen and I shut the main off and capped the valves then turned the main back on. Worked without any drip. Thanks for those who recommended a washer.

Just what I needed to stop the leaking refrigerator water dispenser from the source. It'll remain screwed in the place until I get another refrigerator.

What I needed and arrived quickly.

After realizing that there were three or more different types of 3/8 inch caps, I found that the compression cap was the correct one for my application. I wrapped the valves to be sealed with Teflon tape and tightened the caps. Three valves that will not leak.

It was easy to install and from my stand point will be good to add some kind of rubber gasket/seal for better performance

The cap wouldn't completely seal on the barrel connector I put it on. The length of threaded area was shorter on the barrel connector causing the cap to bottom out before the inside seal was accomplished. The temporary use slowed the water loss to a slow drip so was able to get buy until the full repair was made the next day.

I was doing some remodeling in garage that included the removal of the utility sink. One of the water supply shutoff valves was leaking through. I used these caps as temporary fix to get rest of job done. They worked well. No more leak.

Tried 2 different ones. Hand tightened and gradually tightened further to avoid overtightening and still leaked regardless. Further tightening obviously doesn't help so gave up on the compression idea and ended up using a rubber washer to get a leak-free fit.
