Half of the screws snapped off while screwing in pre drilled holes into maple wood. I'm very disappointed in the quality of these screws.

I found it quickly, went through the cashier. She was very polite, walked out of the door with a smile on my face.

Good tough screw. They don't strip out on non predrilled holes in wood.

Unless you are using a hammer drill pre drill yourself a pilot hole. Works real good, snug fit

Some of the screws lost their heads, have had to buy a 'screw remover' to enable me to get these screws back out. May work with soft wood, but I think the harder wood I was screwing into was too much for them.

If you aren't careful, they are easy to round out the Phillips slot in the head. Other than that, they do hold good.

They break when drilling them

These wood screws are too soft and break too easily to be of any use, even for light duty applications. I purchased a bag of these disappointing screws to repair a wood podium. I predrilled all the holes and installed the screws which broke in the middle before even getting them sufficiently tight. The soft material that these screws are made of also makes it easy to strip out the Phillips screw head, even when using care to properly seat the screwdriver, and applying proper pressure on the screwdriver to avoid stripping. Please don't waste your money on these screws unless you only need to tighten them slightly more than finger tight.
