Very easy to install - Well bill hardware kit
I used a 28X80 Door for my installation. With a extra pair of hands and follow direction it was straight forward to install.Hardware is heavy duty quality. It took us 2 hours to completely the installation. The only thing I did different was a different style floor mount guided being I didn’t have access to a router.

    Wonderful sliding barn door.
This was easy to install. We used an old 5 panel door to hang from it. It glides smoothly and effortlessly. We are absolutely happy with it.

backer board across glass block wall
I'd like to hang a 73 lbs door and it needs to slide across a glass block wall. How do I attach an oak backer board to the right side wall? The board will run 88". The door is 36".I attached a pic to explain. Thank you for your time

The sliding barn door track was a nice some what easy install comes with everything needed to complete I had to do some customizing since I built my own door but turned out nice. Only complaint since I purchased this kit I have seen it at several local supply centers for a lower price and kit seamed to be same.

Product works very well. I only have one small complaint on the hardware and KEY suggestions for installation (please read below). The floor guide is made of plastic and I worry with time it will wear down. It is noisy when the door bangs along guide. A design with a ball bearing install would have been a better manufacture choice. Like most DYI instructions these are poorly written, probably by the engineering who designed it but has never installed one. Prior to Step #2 Installing Track - Complete step #7 Installing Door Stops. If you have to cut the bar down to fit in a spot less than 72 inches as I did you wont be able to install the door stops later without removing the Track you hang in Step #2. Place stops on track and lightly tighten so they can moved later when door is hanging. Step #5 Installing Anti-Jump Discs. This took some time to try and understand what they were trying to say. Very little detail provided in instructions. The discs have an offset hole so you can rotate them out of the way to later remove the door. The instructions indicate placing them 1" from the door but if you are hanging a standard door with inset panels the hangers are close to the edge of the door. There is no way to install discs the hanger will be in the way! The discs can be installed anywhere all the door top - they work by bumping against the track not the hanger so they can be installed anywhere. The instructions also fail to note that you need to install the screw on one side or the other of the door so you can loosen later, rotate out of the way, in order to remove the door. On Additional Tip - we left the door trim up around the old opening. In order to get the clearance we had to install a header board behind track mounts to push door out past trim molding. Easy fix rather than trying to make longer spacers and also solved issues with finding studs. Mounted the header board firmly into studs and track into header board.

This is a quality, solidly built item. I installed an oversize, homemade door from actual barn wood which weighs around 100 lbs, and this rail system hasn't blinked. The door operates very smoothly. I am very happy with the purchase.

We bought two of these systems and built two "barn doors" to cover a wall mounted Flat screen TV recessed into the wall. The product is great and easy to install as long as you are very careful with dimensions for mounting them. The only criticism I have is that the packaging and handling at Home Depot was terrible. The packaging of both sets were torn and ripped when I picked them up. One set had missing parts which I suspect fell out somewhere in the warehouse. I had to take it back and pick up another set being very careful to examine the replacement package (which was also torn and ripped - so I made the store open the package so I could take inventory of all the parts - glad I did because the package was missing parts - we got another package - also torn and ripped - and did the same inventory - all good this time) We love the product. Great design and works like a charm.

Very cool idea if you want to do something different. Regular doors are fine but there are times that a sliding door is perfect. Love the color of the hardware. The operation is very quiet. You must make sure it is level. I did a double french door with this (2 kits). One door is perfect. The other is slightly off and will slowly close. No big deal where these are though. The only thing I can say negative is that there is not an option for matching door handle hardware. I am going to adapt some gate handles to use.

This was a great purchase. It was exactly what we wanted and it worked great. It is smooth and quite. It has good coloring as well. All the parts are solid and do not seem cheaply made. The directions are easy to follow. I suggest that you read through everything first before you start. But that is a good plan for most things that you need directions for.

          Barn Door hardware
The color I ordered was not delivered but seeing as I needed to the get the project done I accepted the black instead of the bronze. The hardware itself is great and was easy to put together and install and so far it has been working just great and we think it looks pretty good too!

          Beautiful Barn Door Hardware
This sliding door hardware is stylish, yet rustic with the dark oil rubbed bronze finish. Just as a side note, this hardware finish is very dark and almost black in appearance. The kit includes all mounting hardware and hanging components needed to install one door. The materials are sturdy and well made. The track, nuts, bolts and mounting brackets for the wheels are made of a heavy gauge steel. The wheels are made of a high density plastic which allows for a quite, effortless and gentle movement on the track. Installation is a little bit tricky and involved. If you take your time, make the necessary preparations and measure for the installation before you begin, the project will go smoothly. Make sure you have enough clearance from the ceiling to the track, in order to mount the door. Finally, be sure that you are secure the track into as many studs as possible.

Well designed, Great Quality, Door Rides Smooth on Rail.
Purchased the unfinished Steves & Sons Model # Q74JKNNNAC99 knotty alder barn door also. I stained and poly'd the door over the weekend and hung the door Sunday night. For about $400 total, I have a beautiful addition in my new finished basement.

As others have said, great look, quality and performance
To maximize space in a small "bedroom" we installed two systems side by side to replace a tired, dysfunctional pocket door. As I recall, our opening was approx 57 1/2'. We found that we didn't need the small piece of hardware to "bridge the gap" between the two systems since our (2) 32" individual doors were only sliding away from the center, not following each other from one track to other. However, one large sliding barn door would operate in this way so, keep it in mind. Install: The initial wrinkles in our installation were getting everything level. First, the header board. Simple enough but, a 10 ft header, one tall guy and me, (5' nothing) holding the track, a level, and drilling a dozen pilot holes was a bit of a challenge. Next, leveling 2 separate tracks, all up over my head, 2 Corona's were required to tamp the PIA factor. Needless to say, there have been numerous consultations and some tool wielding to correct our initial install. Since the house is on stilts, the slightest bit off will make the doors float open. Sometimes to the North, sometimes to the South, depends on which way the wind is blowing that day. Floor track: We've hesitated to put the floor guides into place because the tile is old and a drilling into it is risky. We have considered using an epoxy to secure guides to avoid a tile disaster. We have since added door hardware, and will likely clear coat or whitewash doors in the future, it's a beach house. I spent hours researching this product and would purchase again in a heartbeat!

Excellent barn door hardware - heavy duty
Easy to follow instructions. Excellent quality for the low price - great value. This was able to accommodate a 40" wide door 84" high with some minor adjustments in placement of the track and wheels.

            Excellent product for price
I did quite a bit of web surfing trying to find some barn door hardware that I felt was affordable for a pantry door. This product is way cheaper than similar products found online. It installed easily and continues to work well 8 months later.

            Amazing quality.... lowest price!
We LOVE this slider. Everyone asks where we got it. I used fence wood from Home Depot on the wall. We painted it white, used a sander in random places, and then used a rag and wiped stain in the sanded areas. It required a lot of trial and error to get the right authentic rustic barn look we were going for. Then I built the custom barn door with pine wood using a standard 36" wide door as a template(which is the widest door this slider can hold without a secondary track). I was nervous that the weight of the door would be too heavy, so I opened up the wall on the opposite side and reinforced the area where the track would slide with 4x4s. After I built the wall and door, I built an industrial metal shelf to compliment the barn door slider(black metal). Took about a week to do the whole wall.
