Easy to install and very sturdy door stop. I installed these at my church a couple of weeks ago and they are performing very well. The only reason I rated them 4 stars instead of 5 is because one of the screws snapped off during installation. They are made of brass too, so they are softer than regular steel screws - I used a spare screw (stainless steel) that was the same size. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the overall quality of this stop.

I was very happy with this at first, but only after about a month, and I don't use it everyday, it wouldn't stay in the upright position. I noticed a spring on the floor and though I could just put it back and all would be good. Well, there are two tabs that old that spring in place, and on the floor was one of the tabs along with the spring. See my photo for what I am referring to.

Easy to instal, minimal assembly. Only problem is that I have a smooth tile floor and with a strong gust, it will not hold the door open.

Stem snapped after about a week. Just from trying to lift the stop up with my foot. Perhaps it would be okay in a home setting, used infrequently and carefully. Far too fragile for a warehouse environment where's it's kicked up/down several times per day.

Couldn’t even screw into a piece of wood without the heads of the screws falling off. This was the reault of a basic phillips head. Garbage

Finally got the idea of putting this on my porch door. I used to have one on a exterior door many, many years ago but had forgotten how great these are. Every time id have to walk up several porch steps and pull the porch door outwards towards me while loaded down with shopping bags -nearly falling backwards on several occasions! I put this on yesterday and i love it - just pull it down once and it stays put while everybody files in/out until were done. I would really recommend this to anyone, especially where holding open an out-swing door can put you off-balance.

What can I say, it's a kick down door stop. It was easy to attach, works as it should and keeps my door where I want it. Only thing I could add is that there is another, almost identical door stop in the same section that does not have the rubber tip and it is cheaper. This one won't mar my hard wood floors, so the rubber tip was important to me.

I fully agree with the other comments, but I went a step further: I removed the "spring," and it is NOT spring metal, which is the problem. It is a 1/4" wide by about 1/32" thick piece of aluminum. Since I could bend it by hand I knew it wasn't spring metal. So, how much did the manufacturer save by using aluminum instead of spring metal (steel) - I don't know... maybe $0.02 per unit? I know that this was a little over $6 (with tax), but even at that price it was NO value. Had it lasted a year the value would have been "fair." I would have gladly paid an extra dollar to get a doorstop that lasted 2 years or more.

Had to return one as it was missing the clip to hold it up. Got the second one home and same problem. I will have to return it also.

Works and looks good

The rubber "foot" is very hard and does not grip the floor. It just slides across a vinyl floor and does not hold the door open.
