Worked perfectly - far superior to traditional toggle anchors since the bolt can be removed after mounting.

I give this a 4.5. You need a 1/2 inch drill bit. I wish the outer piece was metal, but it is nice that it is white, and the plastic may be stronger than the dry wall. It is a long screw, so it takes time to screw it in. Seems pretty solid. You do need space, or insulation, behind the drywall so the metal piece can flip open behind the wall. I will buy more when I run out.

DO NOT BUY! I will be bringing these back to HD to get my $ back, and I will NEVER buy this brand of toggle bolt again! Zero confidence in this product. FlipToggle used to be excellent when they had 2 plastic strips that could be used to pivot the toggle bolt. Now, some genius at FlipToggle decided they could get away with 1 plastic strip and a single plastic piece that may or may not trigger the toggle. I bought a 10-pack of this new model and ended up with 6 that broke/failed. 1 snapped the first time I tried to "load" the toggle, 2 didn't toggle correctly and broke inside of the wall. 3 more appeared to work correctly, but after snapping off the single plastic end, the "teeth" that were supposed to grip the plastic in place broke with the plastic and dropped the back of the toggle inside the wall. I was planning to use 6 of them, but now I've only got 4 that are working, and I suspect that those 4 may not be holding as well as advertised/expected.

I broke 4 before I even got them in the hole and broke 2 more trying to screw the bolt in.

A great invention. Much better than regular toggles. Very strong but easy to use

They have become so CHEAPLY BUILT just taking them out of the pack they break, Setting them to be put into the hole, they break, Pulling them tight and pushing in the wall ring they break, snd pushing in the bolt to lock in place the cheap little nub on the left and right side that holds the metal bracket that has the threads fall allow the bracket inside the falls off so you start over. in the past year never once have I been able to use 100% of all the flip toggles no matter if i purchase the 4 pack to the larger ones. You save money purchasing the larger package. DO NOT DO THAT you will NEVER be able to use them all before the break by themselves just being in your tool box moving around. So I spend more and only purchase the small package one day I will get lucky again an be able to use 100%. FlipToggle needs to redesign this product or go back to the old plastic that did not break just by dropping the package you purchase into a plastic bag or your tool box. So, sad once you get a few to not fall apart in your hand or tool box in their package they work so well

Extremely flimsy and unreliable design.

I bought these in a pinch because Home Depot does not carry the Toggler Brand Snap Toggles and they are complete trash. Two out of four broke off before I could cinch them tight and then 3 out of 4 would not tighten up and just spun on the back side. The Toggler Branduses two zip strips and holds the anchor in place and can not spin or fall off behind the drywall. Trust me on this one, these are terrible, Toggler Brand Snap Toggles are what you want.

I should know better than to trust gimmicky stuff like this. Bought a box of 12. 1 broke off as soon as I tugged on it a tiny bit. 4 of them refuse to line up with the hole. I needed to anchor 3 shelf brackets with 4 screws each. 7 out of 12 are good. 4 are stuck in the wall but won't line up and the last is the one that broke off completely.

They are a brilliant design but there are much needed improvements. 1) The points on the anchor that bite on the inside of the wall are not long enough to dig in, which results in the anchor spinning when screwing in the threaded screw. 2) Most of the screws have misaligned threads which results in resistance in driving it in the anchor, which overcomes the anchor bite inside the wall and the anchor slips. Once that happens, it's game over. Best advice is to do a test run of each threaded screw in an anchor and pair them up when the entire length of the screw will go easily all the way in. Better yet run each screw through a rethreading die to straighten the threads and remove any burrs. 3) the fastener heads are a combination straight blade or Phillips head which is not ideal for these because you have to apply pressure towards the wall to prevent the screwdriver from slipping. By doing so, you often push the anchor off the inside of the wall where it was embedded and it starts to spin. Once it spins you are out of luck and have to push it inside the wall and retry with another anchor.

Love this product I use all the time when hanging Tv mounts.

Easy to install in our plaster+lath wall. Much better anchor than the standard plastic inserts.

Great product. Easy to use and easy to follow directions. I used them to secure a big screen tv mount to 1/2 inch drywall. Worked perfectly and is solid as a rock.

These are fragile and I went through 7 to get 4 to work.

The plastic used on these is so brittle that unless handled with exceeding care in preparation and installation the stem will break. One simple change would make these wonderful: switch the plastic stem to the exact same plastic as a conventional Zip-Tie. Then they would not break before or during installation. I bought two packs. Half of one pack broke during preparation or installation. The other pack going back!

Great product for wall mounting when studs aren't available.

Except for the metal anchor itself, everything else is a cheap brittle plastic. I get that the long zip track needs to break off easily when installed, but the same plastic connects to the metal anchor, and it will sometimes break away while working with it. As a result, I have about three of the brackets resting uselessly at the bottom of my wall space. I only needed six of these anchors installed, but actually used nine. The only good thing I can say is that it was a 10-pack

This product is great to hold cabinets directly from the drywall. It holds up the amount of weight based on the number of toggle bolts used. Recommend this product.
