I'd give it no stars if I could. I had this fire pit for a few months and it completely crumbled last night. Only used a few times. Don't waste your money.

  • Cracked in 3 places then crumbled after 1 fire
  • July 19, 2018

I bought this last month because it was so pretty and deep. I finally has a fire this week. After it cooled I noticed 3 big cracks from the rim down the sides. When I dumped the ashes out, it started to crumble. I am going to return it today. Super bummed.

The fire grate was not designed to withstand the heat generated by the pit and it melted and bent in many placed during the first fire. We had to replace the grate with a general round fire grate from a weber grill and support it with bricks. The pot has developed a crack that would have split the pot if we had not placed a metal band we could tighten and support the pot with. You will also need to purchase a separate cover for it to keep rain and snow out of it, home depot didn't carry a cover to fit it so I had to order one on Amazon. Still like the shape and open feel of the pot and it won't rust like other metal pits. We have had it for one month and enjoyed six fires in it.

We bought this March 2020, May 2020 this firepit is in the trash. After about 8-10 uses the bottom of the fire pit broke completely free from rest of the bowl.

Extremely disappointed! Used it once and the next morning it had three cracks from the rim to half way down. Used it once more and the cracks grew. I looked at the other reviews of this product and the same thing has been happening to other buyers for 3 years now. Not sure why Home Depot is still selling this.

The look of this fire pit is very nice however the quality is garbage. After one use, it cracked in more than one place. We live in Florida so it didn't even get much use in the 6 months we HAD it... HAD as in my husband went to move it and the top ring completely cracked and practically crumbled. We had it in a covered outdoor area and maybe used it not more than 10 times within 6 months. I'm frustrated that such a nice looking piece only lasted 6 months... it's not in pieces in the garbage can at the curb. what a waste of money...
