Super efficient and does the job. Cools down my room in a matter of minutes. The wireless/app function that the AC comes with is also pretty cool and useful! I’m so happy I ordered this AC and haven’t run into problems. I also enjoy the modern look of it and managed to install the AC onto a horizontal sliding window. Frigidaire did a great job with this unit, I highly recommend it. Does a great job of quickly cooling my living room, plus the silence is a game changer for me. Never going back to the loud old units. this unit is really quiet and works well, but whenever the unit blows air with only the fan, it has this thick musty air coming from it. It was there since the very beginning (I bought it brand new), and I thought that it would get better as time went on, but the smell persists. Oh it also did have some scratches on the bottom of the unit even as I opened it from the box. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I bought this ac for my bedroom and it works pretty good. Installation is pretty standard, it has the extending plastic sides. As for the noise, it’s quiet especially on low. Even on high it does not bother me, but that is subjective. I am not a light sleeper, so if you’re a light sleeper you will have to see for yourself. Just remember no matter how much you spend, a window air conditioner can only be so quiet. This is definitely one of the quieter ones out there and am very satisfied with my purchase.
Replaced an older 10000 BTU Frigidaire unit with this new 8000 BTU unit, and it's been absolutely great! This new window A/C unit is amazingly quiet, even when the compressor is running. Major improvement over the older base model Frigidaire, and definitely worth the extra money. The WiFi enabled feature is nice, as I can control the unit from anywhere via the Frigidaire smartphone app. I'm seriously considering buying a 6000 BTU unit for my home office to replace the noisy existing unit. We bought the in Early July for my son's bedroom. This is a reasonably large room, top floor, facing the noon to afternoon/eve sun. The room gets hot. It replaced a powerful Carrier window A/C that we had for years. I was worried it might not have the power for the room but it works great The room was screaming hot as the old one broke down a couple of weeks after we put in the window and we had no A/C in the room for over a week in the 90's. Installation went easy and the weight and overall size was much less than the Carrier model. It was incredibly quiet with the compressor noise so low you have to get close to it to hear, especially if the fan is on high or even medium. Those reviews stating it was not that quiet are not correct or something else is wrong. We have 5 in wall high end A/Cs in this house, and four other brand window A/Cs in another home, and this one is the quietest and by a huge amount. Especially the compressor volume. Then it cooled the room right down and has worked perfect so far these few months. The styling is very good looking. My son will smart connect via his phone, but the remote is fine for me. What is the point of buying an air conditioner that has WiFi connectivity features if the cloud platform that it connects to is unreachable almost every day? From my experience, the Electrolux cloud network has the worst up-time record of any smart device company that I have owned. SmartThings, LIFX, and other smart device manufacturerers have network status webpages for incident and maintenance reports which helps the consumer to identity connection problems - Electrolux does not. Lastly, and equally important, the Android app is very poorly designed. Save yourself the frustration and do not, under any circumstances, consider buying a Frigidaire branded "smart" device. I have learned my lesson the hard way, never to buy another Frigidaire product that offers features that rely on their cloud platform.
