I've been planning and comparing and shopping for well over a month to create a tufted headboard for my master bedroom. This was the cheapest I've found 2 inch foam anywhere.
It came wrapped in a very tight bundle of 4 at a time. One of my bundles, the foam looked to have yellowed around the edges a bit. There wasn't any else wrong with it other than appearance and it was going under several layers so it didn't affect my project at all.
I wish they sold it in larger sections. What I got wasn't cut square so there was some very minor finagling to get everything lined up. Admittedly, for my chosen application, it didn't have to be perfect and worked just fine once it was glued to the MDF.
Everywhere I've read recommends using an electric cutting knife to slice through it (this is also how they do it at fabric stores). I do not own an electric cutting knife so I used a straight edge and my favorite utility knife with a fresh blade. It worked. It wasn't terribly pretty. Scissors cut nicely if you haven't already glued everything down, but they are difficult to maintain a straight edge, as even the slightest angle to your cut will be seen in the foam. (See image) Again, if it's going underneath something, it doesn't truly matter.
All in all, I would definitely buy this product again should I have a project that calls for it.
