This product works great. Looks like real wood. I forgot to take a before picture, but I found a similar picture of what it looked like before. Second picture is after 3-4 coats of product. Cans are small so if you do a big project like this, buy more than one.

Loved my finish, and the new look. But step two you need to be careful or you will get it to dark or runs or variations in color. But my major problem is that You CAN ONLY use just water to clean your cabinets, which means the same for furniture you do. So if you purchase this product that is fine, but make sure you get lacquer for when you complete the refinishing. And get enough lacquer for you project. This product doesn't recommend anything nor how to clean it. I didn't know and started seeing places in my new finish becoming lighter and coming off. I caught it in time to quickly dry it before it lightened up to far but still need to touch it up. Not happy with this. I haven't done the lacquer just yet but have ordered it, If it doesn't work I will just replace my cabinets with solid custom wood ones.

This stuff is actually pretty decent as far as replicating a wood grain look. I've been working with the base only, as I want a lighter look, and am still trying a few different brush techniques, but so far I'm happy with the results.

Loved the paint

I was skeptical when I bought it, fully planning on have to do something else with my cabinet if it didn't come out right, but it actually came out beautiful. Had to use more than I expected (two cans and 3 spray cans for a 36" vanity cabinet) but it was worth it. The man who put it on for me said it was fairly easy to use - mistakes had to be fixed quickly because of the fast drying time, but as long as you stay on top of it, it worked great.

Purchased to fix Faux wood paint done years ago. Color match was spot on, but repairing the chips was frustrating, the paint does not cover well. Many coats required to get anywhere close to the original finish.This stuff probably provides credible results when used initially but forget repairs.

Returned it.

Step one did ok job...step 2 sprayed black dots over the project requiring sanding and re painting.

I was skeptical of this product but it exceeded my expectations! Amazing how a painted over laminate piece of furniture looks like REAL wood! The color is beautiful!

If you read the directions, and the name of the product, you will discover that this is Step 1 of a 2-step process. Very important to actually read (and follow) the directions prior to starting your project. This is an easy, quick, and durable way to create a faux woodgrain look. I have used it many times and I am happy with the results. I'd definitely recommend it but if you don't bother reading the directions you might be disappointed with the end results.

This product is wonderful. I am 100% satisfied with it. My cabinet looks great.

I was surprised at how well this worked on a bathroom door. I had two large patches that would not stain the same shade. So, as a last ditch effort, I painted the door white and then used this product. It really looks great. Note: like another rater, I did not use step 2 , so do not know how it would look with the recommended 2nd step.

Directions for the product were correct and easy to follow and result was acceptable. It looks better after the spray finish is used.

i have used products in the past that you brushed on and used stain over top and you actually got wood grain looks, I wish I could still find it.

I have fiberglass doors in my house that were stained to look like wood. The stain wore down to the white gel-coat around the door knobs so I searched everywhere to find out how to restore the wood-stain look. All web sites I found said you can't to it - you just have to buy new doors. I decided to try this product since it was cheaper than a new door. I painted two coats of Faux EZ on my doors, waited for it to dry, wiped on the same color stain that is on the rest of my woodwork, let that dry, then put on several coats of polyurethane. The doors are as good as new and you can't tell at all that they were worn down to the gel coat. My only complaint about this product is the price. It is still cheaper than new doors, but it does seem overpriced.
