Very nice, bright light in a spectrum that the plants seem to love. The light was super easy to set up, I'm using it in a corner of the house that in the winter is just too darn dark for the plants, last year it was touch and go to keep them alive. Since using this light for only a week they already look much happier and it's nice to know that the plants will make it through the winter.

Other than it arriving with one broken bulb I have had no issues with it. It gives light that my plants have gone crazy over. I lined it's cabinet that I made for it with mylar so the plants grow more evenly and don't get leggy looking. When used in an enclosed space like I use there needs to be ventilation to control moisture and temperature. I recommend that you use it with a timer so the plants get some time to rest. By adjusting the light and dark periods you can control the bloom time of most flowering plants.

- different, random frequencies shipped? + good LED chip protection + *seems* to encourage veg growth when nowhere near flowering stage My panel appears much, much pinker than the first reviewer's, a single pink frequency from the vast majority of chips, very few whites, zero blues. I can't visually identify the pink, I don't think I've seen it as a discrete frequency before. As there's never anything purely scientific about judging results in that there's no way to control for the myriad variables, I can't swear I got new leaf growth from a ruby supreme guava -- but I received it very, very mature two months ago, have had it under a COB@~90w, and flush against an alleged 10,000lm white LED 2'x2' vertically hung panel and a much more anemic ~3000lm white LED 2'x4' vertically hung panel, 12/12, alternating with a 380w HPS wobble light to its remaining side 12/12, plenty of ambient light spill from other plants, and I just got two new leaves at the top of a stem that travels up this panel, vertically hung, that's been there for the past two weeks. Judging from a strawberry and lemon guava, they seem to take about six weeks to overcome significant stress; this ruby supreme was around two weeks overdue getting itself back to work, but it is an interesting coincidence that its first growth is right at the top center of this panel. I've got a six pod AeroGarden with an attached LED panel, with token reds and blues among a ton of whites, but this works because the light is right on top of the seedlings, sending the light meter into oblivion. I was afraid this would be a similar array, basically dirt cheap whites with a few reds and blues, but mine is "pink":white as the AG is white:r,b. I'd prefer no whites in a tuned panel, but the number of whites mine has is negligible. I dutifully poured fish emulsion on the base of one of the LED tubes on day one -- architecturally the design has a few redundant mechanical safeties. As with the white panels, some tubes, some backlit, the guava's leaves are essentially glued to the surface of all lenses with no light nor heat burning. It doesn't take too long to figure out how to hang this any way you'd like, but the included ~6" wire ropes are useless, and you'll have to rig something -- not the traditional brass eyelets on the back, just a couple of keyholes in the plastic back.
