The Fenix 6 inch Black Heavy Metal Security Bolt certainly lives up to the description of heavy metal! Everything about this lock is heavy-duty. The powdered finish coating is meant to withstand the outdoor elements for years to come. The bolt itself is solid and would break a lot of material around before it can be bent. I noticed that two of the screws in the bolt face could be accessed with the bolt engaged, which might be a security risk; however, it still has the screw in the security tab and one other screw to maintain the integrity. I installed this on an outside door that has a tight gap between the doors. The bolt face’s outer metal would not let the door close, so I had to remove it; this shouldn’t be a problem if you have a larger gap between the doors. Also, the screws in the package were not quality screws, no big problem since I had others in my shop to use. Despite the few issues, this is still a heavy-duty quality lock.

This is a heavy duty deadbolt that should hold whatever door or other device you choose to use it for. It has a heavy bolt and is made with a heavy material. The slide moves easily with a lot of clearance in its channel. Quality of the materials is very good. As for security, it seems to be slightly lacking. I noticed that the two screws holding the latch plate can be removed with the bolt in the latched position. That leaves only the 3rd screw at the edge to hold it on your door frame. I think it could be easily pried off. If you don't need the locking provision, this will be a good choice.

The Fenix 6 inch heavy metal security bolt is made really well. It is powder coated black. The installation screws are included and remain concealed when installed. The bolt is large strong. Allows for the bolt to be padlocked. Great for sheds, gates, doors, tool boxes. I used it for my folding garage work table. It can be installed for left or right closing doors. The knob can be unscrewed for additional security. I'm happy with this order, great design.

We reported this heavy security bolt as not coming but we looked around and it did come with the other gate items. It was on our table underneath something so our apologies. The security bolt was something we decided to get because we have a wood fence and we have a dog that manages to push his way through our gate so we put this on and now he can’t find a way to squeeze through the gate so our gate is secure again.

The FENIX 6 IN. BLACK HEAVY METAL SECURITY BOLT is a solid product. I am actually using the security bolt for a Classic Pop-Up Camper restoration that requires a sturdy security bolt that closes an aluminum door. The security bolt was very easy to install and I was impressed with the heavy-duty feel of the product. Pick one of these up for any fencing need.

This fenix 6 inch black heavy metal security bolt is made with some quality material. It’s heavy for its size and feels solid. The black and silver color makes it pop, looks fantastic. The bolt slides smoothly and the security features and designs are nice. Stews that anchor the bracket are not accessible to thieves because the bolt is in the way. With the pad lock on the bolt cannot slide out either end. I would recommend this for the peace of mind that your gate won’t be opened.

This security bolt is very nice. The materials are heavy duty and you can feel the weight.. Build quality is excellent. Paint job is great. If you are seeking a security bolt that is made with thicker metal parts, this is a good choice. The security bolt comes with wood screws to complete the installation. Installation instructions are printed on the back of the packaging. I installed this security bolt without the strike on a shed door, using the floor as the strike end for the bolt., and it works great (see pictures). This item exceeds my expectations.

This is a heavy duty security bolt. The instructions are simple to follow and it comes with all screws for mounting. The slide is very thick and strong and the handle can be replaced with what ever you would like to screw on to the bolt. I grabbed this one and ordered a second for my outside water heater door. This slide bolt lock can work on anything you need to keep closed or locked. It's not in any way cheaply made its heavy duty.

It was impossible to remove bolt in order to Mount lock. Returned
