As someone who prefers simplicity, installing this 3 inch seal was so simple for my new TOTO Drakes. The instructions are straightforward. The glue on the seal is very strong and once the seal is attached to the horn, there's no removing it easily. On the first install, I measured and placed the seal to the horn, but on the second install, I eyeballed it and centered the seal around the horn. On the first install, I applied some liquid soap on the outside of the seal, and on the second I poured soap down the sides of the receiving pipe. Both commodes seated easily onto the flange bolts*, and I was able to adjust the commodes so that each was evenly spaced from the wall and level. Try that with a wax ring and seal damage is likely. I would recommend these Wax Free seals for new commode installations. Installation on older commodes is possible however, the horn area would require extensive cleaning and removal of all wax residues to insure secure adhesion. *Everbilt Brass 5/16 in. x 2-1/4 in. flange bolts sold at Home Depot

I've used this Fernco waxless seal many, many times and had an excellent experience every time until now. In a home I recently purchased the toilet flange is set on a Sch. 80 pipe instead of Sch. 40 or DVW. Unfortunately, the thick Sch. 80 walls leave an inside diameter of only 2.86 inches and this Fernco seal WILL NOT FIT into the pipe no matter what. So take note. This is a great product that I love but I had finally found a situation where it just won't work.

Great solution. Stick it to the bottom of the bowl, insert in waste pipe. Done. Much nicer than wax.

I have used this product many times before, and it has always worked very well. Here is a tip for using this with ABS vs PVC, use plumber grease or silicon grease for it to glide effortlessly, otherwise, it can be crushed and will NOT provide proper seal. I am speaking from experiences. I wish these are available at the store instead of having to order it online.

This wax-free toilet seal works great with absolutely no mess and the ability to readjust the toilet as needed. This is the second time I've used this product and it has worked well each time. Highly recommended.

Furnace located below 1/2 bath. During winter months the wax seal would melt and toilet leaks. Replaced and no issues for years. Remolding my daughter’s house and replacing all seals with this product. Have to make sure the old wax is completely off toilet and flange before using so there are no issues. Highly recommended.

Easily the best way to set a toilet

It seemed to work just fine. This was for a new toilet in the basement. I have installed the toilet but have not tightened the bolts to fasten it to the floor. I am waiting for the cement to cure before I finish the install. It went together very well and looks like it will work out great.

Great product. I've been using these for many years for home renovation. I'm not a pro, but I've installed about 10 of them after a recommendation from both a supply house and a professional. They are simple to use and I've never had a problem. Just follow the easy instructions. I would advise against the imitation products out there though. Stick with the Fernco brand. I don't understand why this product is not a standard stock item in all home centers and plumbing distributors and why people still use the wax rings. Makes no sense to me. I highly recommend this product.

Superior product!

Installed easy as advertised. I used 100% silicone grease to lubricate seal end entering pipe. Toilet easily removed and reinstalled as advertised. Don't know how how many years these have been used.

My favorite toilet install product, way easier and cleaner than wax rings and simple for homeowner to use. Provides a great seal, I love these things!
