I had accidentally sawed into an adjoining drain line that was run in the web of a steel support beam. After cutting the pipe apart, I could move the pipe to the side to slip the Fernco in place. The problem is, that the Ferno has a stop in the center which prevents sliding the whole unit onto the pipe, then realigning, and then sliding back into place. I actually had to put a puller onto the pipe run to spread it 2" and hope that I didn't break anything to get the Fernco on the other side of the pipe. It was much longer of a project than it should have been. Of course, once in place, the coupling did work to seal the two pipes together.

This replaced a 28 yr old connection in my ejector pump in the basement. After 60 days it is working well.

Great product and a great price

This is my go to Fernco 2 inch coupler. I do bathroom remodeling professionally and every shower drain is 2". Sometimes when I install a new shower I need to make a connection with this coupler. I have never been disappointed. The shield makes a strong, durable connection. I keep several in stock at all time.

Easy to use, did the job perfectly, would use again.

Have used it many times and always works and serves its intended purpose the one caveat would be making sure that the alignment was proper and the bands were tightened to the proper torque.

Used it because I couldn’t permanently glue pvc pipe in the basement based on the location. Connection is strong and leak free. Great for the application
