the product was and is great. I would not shop at home depot. They doubled the "in store" price online. When questioned why the price was far less in store, HD said they do not set the online price and it depends what device you are searching on. Even when selecting to pick up the item from the same store location, if on a desk top from one zip code in Charlotte the price would be "X" and if you search for the same item from a phone, or from a desktop in the zip code right down the street, it would be a different price.

Quality and price absolutely great

The accompanying hardware was not very sturdy. The screws broke off and the heads stripped while installing them, even with pre-drilling. Had to go back to store and purchase stronger screws.

I was skeptical about metal post with plastic spacers, but seem pretty solid. Was not sure how to put supports under deck. Drawing shows three boards, could not figure out what size. Called support, not all the same. Two 2x10 and a 1x 6 worked out, per their instructions.

The product durability seems to be acceptable (time will tell), but the product design leaves a lot to be desired. Stair rail brackets don't leave adequate flexibility for legacy rise/run angles, and the standard straight rail mounting brackets aren't as secure as they should for what they do.

Very satisfied with this product

These worked excellent. We used them with another manufacturers rail system. Feel they were pretty universal. Many people did not have a good affordable solution for top mount posts. This was very reasonable and the hardware came with it. Be sure to use the proper amount of blocking, we had to do more than we thought, but our posts are as solid as can be. Very pleased with the results.

The previous post sleeve would not allow vinyl post to cover. They split when trying to slide on. These went on seamlessly. Waiting for Railing bracket for other side.

Great product - easy to install

several bolts snapped in the concrete. Used 1/4" masonry bit as suggested and bolts weren't even all the way in. I am now stuck with a huge mess.

This is a horrible product. The plastic sleeves do not hold the vinyl sleeve tight like the Veranda. I will return this item ASAP.

The good news is this kit comes with everything you need to mount it to a wooden deck, a cement slab, or cement stairs. The bad news is for stair applications the metal post is bit too short and then the concrete screws snapped before going all the way in. The reason the post is to short is the top white block that slide over the post to provide the upper handrail mounting point can only go on about halfway, any lower and the handrail screws would miss it. For the anchor I ended up using 1/2" drop in anchors which worked out much better. Lastly the provided wedges for leveling the post are plastic, not metal. I can see them eventually compressing and the post becoming loose. I instead used flat washers at each of the 4 anchor points to level the post.
