Exploding rock
We bought this lava rock for our gas fire pit in February. It worked great until July, for some reason the rock started popping and loosing its color. This makes me believe that it is not actual lava rock.

Hello Kelly, we apologize we did not meet your expectations. Lava rock would only change color if the air mixer vial is not mixing the air and gas properly, and in this case we would recommend you contact a local licensed plumper. Also, Lava Rock would pop if there is water or any type of moisture within it. You would need to need to dry them off by burning it off on low heat for 10-20 mins before reusing. Looks and works well. It retains the heat which keeps the heat in the area a bit warmer thus using a bit less propane.

You guys suck. Been waiting for my fire pit for over a month. Nobody cares about your 10 bag of rocks , I want my $400 fire pit.
