Customer Reviews for Fiskars 3/4 in. Cut Capacity Forged Steel Blade with Non-Slip Grip Bypass Hand Pruning Shears

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used those Fiskar pruners for winter pruning. Overall, I love the ergonomics of the grip which gives plenty of cutting power without hand strain. It allowed me to do quick work of fig tree branches (1-2 inches diameter). The cuts were clean all the way and the blades remained sharp until I was done. However I did toss the pruners on concrete which chiped the tip of the blade but fortunately didn’t affect the cutting performance. I’d recommend those pruners for people who want effortless cutting power without having to carry around loppers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this for flowers and small branches and it works pretty well. The blades are nice and sharp and it’s super easy to use. I only gave it 4/5 because you still have to do most of the work to cut the branches but it’s not bad.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an avid gardener and have a large vegetable garden and 20+ roses. I used these to do my fall clean up and of my roses and they are very well made. They feel high quality and function well trimming dead cains and leaves. These are a great value and I did not feel my wrist or hand being fatigued during the hours of clean up. I have no experienced any rust on them although I have only used it a few times this call. Overall I highly recommend this pruner for your garden bag!

I have had plenty of opportunities to try them out recently and found them especially helpful in trimming my Christmas tree that was a little wider than anticipated. I wasn’t sure I’d like the angle but have found that it made pruning much easier on my wrists. So glad to have gotten an opportunity to try these out.

I also like that the blades are bent, so it makes my job even easier. And I like non slip handles which helps to keep in hands for a long time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m 5’2, have “medium” hands, and these were comfortable to hold and use. They are sturdy, but not too bulky or too heavy - didn’t give me any wrist or hand fatigue like some bulkier garden/yard tools. Lastly, they’re nice and sharp. No issues trimming down my garden, the rogue blackberry bush, or the many random things I walked around testing these on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Fiskar pruning shears were extremely sharp and had no issues cutting back several of my shrubs. The handle is comfortable and didn’t rub my fingers or palm while using them. There is a little “clasp” to keep the pruners closed while you’re not using them. It doesn’t seem as if that clasp will last long, seems a bit flimsy, but time will tell.

They are so sharp and feel really strong I had no issues at all with pruning my plants and small branches it was super easy and quick !! There was a lot of excess oil on the blade when they arrived but it was easy to just wipe of with a paper towel before using them.

The blade is nice and sharp making a clean, quick snip to trim my plants. I haven't used this brand before, but after this positive experience, I would look into their other gardening products for my future use!

This has a sharp cut not leaving any gagged edges behind. This is a great tool thats easy to use when brushes need some minor trimming.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These were way bigger than I thought! But I needed a new pair so I was really excited about this! I used them today to cut down my plants, thick pepper plants and to cut the stems off some of my pumpkins!! They worked AMAZING!!!! I forgot what a nice sharp fresh good quality pair of pruners felt like to use. Using this made everything so much faster. Only four stars because they came in dirty? They felt oiled which would make sense but they could’ve been cleaned a bit and inspected for scratches etc. but it’s no biggie— they’re going to get all used up anyways! 10/10

This pruner is an absolute garbage. The blade quality is horrible. I bought this pruner and after 30 minutes of use on a peach tree the edge of the blade bend and chipped off. Figured it was a lemon so went back to Depot and exchanged to another one. Worked with it for about 15 minutes, exact same thing happened. Fiskars should be ashamed putting out a pruner this garbage of a quality.

Second time using these shears and the pin that holds the blade in place fell out. Purchased these the replace my Fiskars Titanium Ratcheting shears that the blade snapped on the first use. Not sure whats up with their quality control but I sure won’t be wasting anymore money with their products.

The FORGED blade was poorly ground featuring a couple nice burs, thankfully i bough these clippers just so i coupd destroy the branch im clipping as it catches the metal burs left over from poor grinding. Terrible product, i lose again.

The Fiskars Bypass Pruner is sharp and clips adequately. After the first time I opened it, however, I could not get the wire to slip into the machined groove made for keeping them closed. I even tried to stretch the wire with needle nose pliers, but to no avail. The pruner is now dangerous because it will not close. I plan to return it. I have used Felco pruners for years, and they are far superior to the Fiskars brand. I wish my local Home Depot still carried the Felco brand, as that is what I went to purchase. I was told they no longer carry Felco pruners, so I will need to shop elsewhere to acquire them.

Replacing an old cutter, this one cuts like a dream,expensive but I am happy so far
