Great idea, but the fitting is very loose on a standard downspout, since it's made to fit the larger ones as well, so it really only works if the inlet is vertical. Something to keep in mind. Further, it had split on a seam either before I purchased it or within thirty minutes of purchasing it, because I brought it home and set it up all while it was raining, and it was leaking as soon as I had set it up. I will be returning this item to the store and considering alternatives.

It is not an expensive piece, but it developed cracks on the side that was exposed to the -canadian- sun after 15 months. When you try to move it it just breaks off. For the effort of getting a new one and installing it, you're probably better off with a better quality product.

It’s a piece of flexible plastic. What can really go wrong? I guess I could go measure gallons discharged per minute and see if it meets my standards. Price seemed ok. Liked the color (breathtaking white!). Gave it 5 twinkles because I got a bonus little bicep workout flexing/extending the piece!! P.S. No basement in my new crib so I was able to set it up close to the foundation.

Our LeafGuard downspout from the second story was not centered over the slotted piece in the first floor gutter so water was overflowing top of gutter onto kitchen window. LeafGuard would not come out to address the problem to I purchased this to redirect the water flow to the center of the slotted piece. Worked great.

Flimsy plastic and not made as good as years ago.

Bought a couple of these a year ago to get rain water farther away from the foundation. I've moved and adjusted one of them a few times to weed or string trim and that one has torn at three of the corrugations, so I feel like the plastic used is too thin. The second one is fine but if I move it, who knows. These should last longer than a year.

I have several of these in my yard to direct the water coming out of my downspouts farther away from my house. The can be adjusted to run them under bushes so they are out of sight. The latest one I bought was to redirect the water from my downspout into a rain barrel I use to water my raised garden boxes

Perfect replacement solution for our beat up downspouts elbows. Eliminated the splash blocks and gave us flexibility in odd spots to route the water flow.

I needed to extend my gutter. * Its plastic flexible, extends diff lengths, bends. Works great. Has adapters available. * It could be cost effective to extend water to a water storage container.

No UV resistance, they become brittle and break off. I bought two full sets for our house, each lasted about 18 months, worthless! A good idea but made of cheap plastic.

I've had 6 of these White Flex-A-Spout Downspout Extensions on my house for about 8 years. Two of them on the southern side (which gets sun all day) broke apart, the others are still ok. I did notice when I changed out the old ones that there was mold on the inside, the accordion areas of the extension trap water and that's where the mold grows. I'm going to try some wet & forget sprayed on the inside to keep the mold from growing, that product is fantastic BTW. It reactivates every time it gets wet. I used a 1/2" weatherproof self tapping screw to attach the extender onto the downspout (see pic). I used to use metal extenders but my lawn guys always seem to hit them and bend them up, that's why I went this route with the plastic, they even held up thru about 4 hurricanes! I had to add this to the existing down spout to make the water stop eroding the flowerbed. It cut very easily to fit on both spouts, as pictured.

This Product was EXCELLENT! Matched my Color scheme Perfectly, and was the correct Length.

Does what its supposed to do. Flexible and easy to place on gutter.

I needed to get a quick fix to divert water from coming back into my lanai when we had heavy downpours. It has done it's job well.

I only have one downspout running down from the gutters on the Florida room in the back of my house. I needed to get the water that comes out of it further away from the foundation, this extends a lot and worked out well for me.

The Flex-A-Spout solves our drain problem which was to get water away from house in the shortest distance possible. Normally water came out of metal down spout and flowed along side of house foundation a distance which was not good. By use of Flex-A-Spout I was able to get water direct out of the metal down spout, make a 90 dgeree bend and run it away from house foundation and eliminate the puddling it was doing along the foundation which is not good. Especially in winter when the puddled water could freeze. Very happy with the results.

The product looks pretty good, the color does match my gutter’s color as well, it was a pretty simple installation and looks very good. The material seems pretty durable and I am very happy with this selection.

Work out a lot better than what I had.

This will save you money. Instead of buying multiple aluminum fittings, use one of these. Like the image shows, it can stretch to become 2 elbows and 3 straight sections. Downside is that there aren’t many colors available. Remember to fasten it to your existing aluminum gutters, so it doesn’t blow away. Protect your foundation, by diverting water away properly.

The color matched perfectly and with the material it's made of, it was easily installed. I liked the convenience of purchasing online and pickup at store.

Excellent product for redirecting downspout rain flow away from the foundation of my home. I discovered on closer inspection that the item can be ganged together by cutting the ends at the designated location and locked together to extend the drainage distance. The material is easy to cut with a utility knife. The interlocking sections would benefit by being thicker to ease the interlocking process. The wall thickness at the interlocks is a tad too thin which allows the walls to buckle when forcing the pieces together making the process more difficult than necessary.

Diverts water from downspout away from the house during rainy sesons. I had flooded basement one year when rain was very heavy. No flooded basement so far.

Worked as needed. Very similar to another store, but Home Depot has several colors to choose from which made it blend in to my job.
