It did the job of zapping a lot of bugs in the backyard. First time I used it, the rods were full. Each subsequent time (a few days later) there were much fewer bugs. And I notice the difference when sitting out on the deck.

I bought this to replace the one I bought years ago. The amount of flies making their way into the house has been greatly reduced.

I’m using an outdoor fan at the time so it’s probably not as effective with it going in the same area. Still hear the bug killings though…

Didn’t realize you had to plug it in and the cord was about 3” long. An outdoor special extension cord was needed and not practical at all. I ordered 3 and returned them all

The new grid design is much improved over the older hardware cloth cylinders and should make cleaning much easier. My old unit lasted for over 15 years, but it died last year! I hope these also last that long.

It's working great on our deck.we have a tv outside and like to sit out there at night.it keeps all the bugs away from us. Very happy with it.

Was hoping this would do the trick, however, I still have more mosquito and fly biting than expected. If I have to tolerate the awful zapping sound, I want it to at least do what it advertises. I have it set up 12’ from where we sit, that should be close enough

It never worked, right out of the box.

It trips the breaker after being on for about 2 or 3 minutes. We’re in a brand new house and we use the electrical outlets outside for lots of other things and this doesn’t happen with them.

Didn’t work at all. Plugged it in waited all day, still hasn’t worked.

We purchased one last year and decided to purchase another one this year. We should have waited on the second purchase as we found out that the one purchased last year is already burnt out and won’t work. Kerrickter

This bug zapper seems to be working; we can hear it. However, the # of mosquitoes does not seem to be decreasing.

Exceeding expectations even tho reviews were great. Suggestion to use lawn blower to clean perfect. Not using mosquito attractant but sure gets them anyway. Bugs not coming to my windows but real test will be when little knats come out. Tired of dead black bug filled slider track most every AM once summer really hits. On tall shepards hook.

These work better than any others I've had over many years. Only thing negative I'd say is take care when changing bulbs. They stick well in the pin joints and once in a while I've had to use a long, flat screwdriver in the joint to help pry the bulb loose. Other than that, fantastic lights

Killed only in innocent moths - i didnt find any mosquitoes in the hige body count of moths. The attractant doesn’t reallydo much apparently, and when that wears out, it is just a moth killer.

Zaps anything attracted to the light! We have it on our carport. When we first hung it up I was sweeping the area underneath the light every morning. No mosquitos or flies in the front, but the back yard needs a Flowtron.
