Stopping water penetration through concrete slabs and walls
Foundation Armor's S2000 Sodium Silicate Sealer-Hardener is the preferred way to go, along with their other Siloxane products. It actually stops the water from penetrating while it's still in the wall. It's good for stopping the water and eforvescence from ever reaching the surface. It's also very inexpensive and super easy to apply.
Other commonly available sealers which are typically acrylic latex type products only adhere to the inner surface and don't do anything to impede the water while in the wall, and then don't resist the hydrostatic pressure very well once it reaches the the inner surface, and lifts the coating off. That's what is happening to my previously applied acrylic coated basement walls.

Easy application and repels water
The product does all the manufacturer claims. It is very easy to apply with a roller (so easy my 12 year daughter did much of it) and it left the concrete looking the same color as it was before I started. I liked it so much that I also did my garage floor. When it gets wet the water just beads off and there is no noticeable color change to the concrete which tells me its not soaking in. I've only had it applied for 6 months so at this point can't comment on the longevity.

Worked great!
This product really helped my patio to be less chalky. They also have great customer service. I called Foundation Armor to ask a few questions prior to purchasing this product and they were extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend them for sure.

So far, Foundation Armor S2000 has worked as the manufacture...
So far, Foundation Armor S2000 has worked as the manufacture stated. Parts of my concrete foundation has been deteriorating from the harsh winters. I used the S2000 first, then followed-up (according to instructions) with a concrete surface sealer by Foundation Armor.

Good product. It did the job well. Mixed with water according to instructions, makes plenty of the solution to do a large area. Using a spray bottle worked best for us.

It takes at least 2 or three coats to see...
It takes at least 2 or three coats to see the results on week old concrete. The surface was noticeably denser and darker after three days. Some efflorescence occurred at the surface which I hope will come off. The company was helpful on their tech line and answered all my questions. I used a roller to apply the coating.

Does NOT work
Applied this stuff to my outside cement slab (which was dusting). BTW the coverage estimates were way off, took more than twice what I was expecting. I had 2 bottles, but even then I came up short. Now I am finding no difference between the treated and un-treated areas. Still dusting and does not seem to repel water any better than before. BIG WASTE of money.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are very sorry to hear that your experience was less than awesome! The Armor S2000 is a sodium silicate surface hardener and concrete densifier. It chemically reacts with the concrete to form calcium silicate hydrate (tiny white crystals) in the pores. While it is fantastic for reducing dusting, it isn't designed as a water repellent sealer and can't repel water. For water repellency, you need the Armor SX5000 or Armor SX5000 WB. No worries though, water repellent sealers can be applied over surfaces treated with a densifier so long as it has been more than 7 days. In regards to dusting, the CSH formed by the S2000 isn't something that can be controlled or predicted. It depends on how much free lime and calcium is available in the concrete, the age and condition of the concrete you are sealing, and the amount of sealer applied. With some applications you can achieve your designed level of hardness in one coat, and with others it takes a couple of coats. We would love it if you could reach out so that we can go over your project in more detail. Applied easily, dryer clear, except got where I applied too thick. It turned slightly white, but it’s a garage floor with cars parked on it. True test will be this winter

Effective Less Than 3 Years !
I used this stuff to seal my chimney cap - big hassle to climb and work on. I just happened to be up on my roof and it is peeling off. So this stuff would have to be removed and reapplied on a less than 3 year schedule ! NOT worth the work involved for a chimney cap ! Less than 1 star ! Also, no response from customer service when I reported its performance. Don't care ! Next time I'm up there to fix the mess, I'll take a photo to add !

Thank you for taking the time to post a review! Unfortunately, the Armor S2000 is a penetrating sealer that chemically reacts below the surface to form calcium silicate hydrate within the pores. It does not leave a film or coating on the surface, and it does not change the look or color in any way. Once the chemical reaction takes place, there is no sealer left - all that is left is calcium silicate hydrate (which looks like microscopic white crystals) in the pores. What concerns me is that you mentioned you have something peeling off of the surface, which isn't possible with a penetrating sealer. This product absolutely works! After 20 years of living with concrete dust in my garage, I decided to give this product a try based on a number of positive customer reviews. What an amazing difference S2000 made. I followed the directions exactly and once the product was dry the gritty feeling under my shoes disappeared. It was as if the dust had been magically 'glued down' for good. I would definitely recommend Foundation Armor S2000 to anyone who was looking for a way to rid themselves of concrete dust.

The concrete floor of my garage was poorly laid by the builders and I've had an issue with efflorescence and dusting for literally years. If you left anything in the garage for more than a day it would come out covered in a fine layer of concrete dust. Finally got sick of it and, after a bit of internet research settled on this sodium silicate densifier as the answer. Well, I was not disappointed. Used a pump sprayer to lay down two coatings over two days and my dust problem has disappeared. I could not be happier!
Just understand that this is not a cosmetic product like the epoxy and acrylic floor paints you can buy. All this does is soak into and chemically react with the concrete to stop the deterioration that leads to dusting. Works superbly, but it's not going to make your slab to look "better", if that's what you're after.

This product did exactly what it claimed. We had a new section of basement floor poured about 8 months ago and it has generated a lot of surface dust. This product solved the dust problem. It is not a waterproofing treatment, concrete still breathes and can absorb water. Concrete retained it's original gray color. We applied two coats with a small garden type sprayer. I will be applying it to my foundation before the fall.

This product successfully hardened the older glass block mortar i used to install some windows. (it was leftover from a previous job years earlier and i probably should have gotten new...) Anyway, that stuff is hard as a rock now. A word of warning - pay attention to the manufacturer's information. They're not joking about it being hard to remove once it dries. I had some dried droplets left on the glass, and I had to use WD40 and a razor blade to remove it.

Hardened Garage Floor Perfectly
I had garage floor that was chalky and soft. Every time I swept the floor a fine white dust would come up coating everything in the garage. One gallon of Foundation Armor S2000 hardened the concrete and solved the problem. It sprayed on easily and the floor was hardened as soon as it dried. Couldn't be happier with this product.
