[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My central air died during the hot/humid spell in October 2017. Having old pets with health issues and who can't tolerate heat, I needed something quick. This cooled a decent sized area to keep both four and two legged occupants comfortable. It is pricey, thus only 4 stars.

Absolute junk. Bought one. Hooked up the vent duct to exhaust tower in ceiling. Plugged in, blew cold air out. Using it in a room approx 20 X 15, just trying to keep the temp down a little bit as it has a machine in there that creates some heat. After running for about 16 hours, did absolutely nothing to change the temp in the room and the air coming from it was simply the air in the room being blown by the fan. Thought maybe the R410 leaked out, so I returned it thinking it was defective... Got another one of the same unit... hooked it up, DID EXACTLY THE SAME THING! Returning that one today for good as I called Frigidaire and the lady I spoke with insisted that they "do not deal with portable AC units @ Frigidaire" and would not transfer me to anyone that might have been able to help.

The process of replacement was complex since it was a HVAC system requiring various approvals from the condo association and the City . I need to cool my condo for the summer until the new HVAC system was installed. Window AC was not allowed. This unit fit my requirements. I installed it for the bedroom and position a fan a the bedroom door. This allow me to keep my condo cool even during the hottest days. It was very efficient as my condo is totally electric and none of my monthly summer bills exceed $100/ month.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Previous non-Frigidaire air conditioners we've purchased have lasted only about 2-3 years. So far, our Frigidaire AC is working great, and we hope it lasts a long time.

I love this thing. Just like central air conditioning it goes into a sleep/off mode once the temperature reaches the set level. When the temperature raises, the system recycles back on. The noise level is much lower then expected. I would absolutely recommend.

I wish it had a little more power as it didn’t quite cool my whole apartment (450 square feet) on really warm days but it still worked pretty well. I appreciate the timer and the filter is easy to clean. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase.

We live in Naples and were out of power after hurricaine Irma x 1 wk. With the generator, this unit kept my family of 5 cool to sleep at night.

It doesn’t cook as efficient as I was hoping
