Works as Advertised
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Despite your written instructions of how to attach metal brackets to quartz counter top with recommended adhesive, my electrician/installer insisted on creating a metal frame to hold the cook top in position. Once installed,after a nearly three-week delay, the cooktop worked fine.

Perfect for My Cooking Style
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced an aging Jenn-Air cook top that had only 2 burners. For my cooking I really need 4 burners, 2 large and 2 small with a large burner at front to make sauteing, browning, etc. easier (so I don't have to reach back so far with utensils). This cook top is perfect. I don't have natural gas, so electric was the way to go. I have lots of Calphalon cookware so induction was out. I did not want exposed burners because they are hard to clean. The only thing that gets some "getting-used-to" is that pans tend to slide around when sauteing, browning, etc. so you have to hold the pan handle with the other hand.

Replaced my aging Jenn-Air top that had only 2 burners. I needed 4 burners with 2 large, 1 front and 1 back. Perfect! Installation was smooth. Dropped right in to existing opening. The only thing that requires some "getting used-to" is that pans slide around easily so you have to hold on to the pan handle while doing things like sauteing or scrambling eggs.

Do not get this cooktop if you plan on using it - for cooking.

Hello, Bethb! Consistent and proper cleaning is essential to maintaining your ceramic glass cooktop. For light to moderate soil: Apply a few drops of cooktop cleaning cream directly to the cooktop. Use a clean paper towel to clean the entire cooktop surface. Make sure the cooktop is cleaned thoroughly, leaving no residue. Do not use the towel you use to clean the cooktop for any other purpose. For heavy, burned on soil: Apply a few drops of cooktop cleaning cream directly to the soiled area. Rub the soiled area using a non-abrasive cleaning tool, applying pressure as needed. Do not use the pad you use to clean the cooktop for any other purpose. If soils remain, carefully scrape soils with a metal razor blade scraper, holding scraper at a 30-degree angle to the surface. Remove loosened soils with cooktop cleaning cream and buff the surface clean. Frigidaire 30 in. Radiant Electric Cooktop in Black with 4 Elements including Quick Boil element. I bought this cooktop to replace the old coil electric unit in the home I purchased. I really love the Frigidaire!! It is quiet, cleans up nice and looks great. I have always had gas unit cooktops. No more smelly gas cooktops for me. So glad I purchased it as it was a great price too. Did my research and decided on this one. Also purchased the 3 year extended warranty with Frigidaire just as insurance. Carry an umbrella & it will not rain!

Was very happy with it for about a month. Then a glass jar fell on it. The cooktop glass shattered into pieces. The glass jar was just fine. That's all anyone needs to know about the quality of this product. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!
