Good enough to buy again, Q/$ quality / price point. It didn't fail, but it had enough issues to prompt a review, but not being good enough to encourage a positive one. I will say more positive than negative, 3/5 not 2/5. It goes together fairly well, but a bit off. The side is flush to the bottom on the right but not the left, where it is inset about 1/8". Not a huge deal. The back panel is cheap cardboard with the plastic 'ebony' lamination, folded twice vertically to fit in the box, so when unfolding the seams protrude a bit, clearly obvious. It is difficult to tack down but works ok if you do the 4 corners first, as you must sort of stretch it to fit, because it doesn't unfold as flat as when they punched it out. Do one corner and then the opposite and then do the same with the middle holes on each side and top and bottom. Then the rest go in easier. The ebony plastic on the back panel shows cardboard underneath in some small places on the seams. 4 plastic 'feet' with nails were to be hammered into the bottom side pieces in 4 holes pre-drilled that were as long as the nails so they did not have any purchase. I could have nailed them in next to the holes but chose to discard them, as the shelf is going on top of another set of shelves. The stickers to go over the metal screw holes on the top sides were very flimsy but stuck ok at first. I had forgotten to include the wooden dowels when assembling the top so had to remove the stickers to get the screws out again to put the dowels in place and re-tighten everything. The stickers were then crumpled and worthless. It looks better without them, in my opinion. You could use a black marker to darken the screws. The top front piece that provides stability went together fine except when the large screw was tightened in the sides. Then you could hear the wood crumbling and the screw never tightened but just kept on spinning. It still provides some stability and is attached to the top panel with brackets. The side screw was not loose but not tight, having stripped out the wood. I did not use the safety kit, for fastening it to the wall, but may later on, though probably not as it is stable and no children will encounter it. So it went together and looks ok. It works. The plastic lamination is decent, smooth, even. The shelves can be moved up or down. I have small paperbacks on the top, medium ones for the middle and large hardbacks for the bottom. I would suggest that the manufacturer charge more money and improve the quality, however that may be done. A cheap but acceptable bookshelf, bookcase.

This is an inexpensive book shelf. It is so inexpensively constructed that I do not know if it would hold up for children and if you wanted to put books on it ..... maybe 2 or 3, but definitely not a whole self full. The shelf openings, or distance between shelves, is small. I bought it to put bins in and they do not fit .... see pictures. They are also shallow. Overall, not a sturdy shelf .... maybe worth $8 or $9 but not $19. But, it is easy to assemble and can be done in about 10 minutes by one person. DO NOT try to move it with books on it .... it'll pull apart on you.
