This solar light with lamp post is a great size and it performs very well from dusk to dawn. It gives the area a pleasing amount of light with the 10 bright white LEDs. I like that there is a switch for summer or winter. With lower power usage during winter, the light will remain lit through the longer nights.
I was impressed with the quality and appearance of the heavy duty resin post. The sections screw together easily. Assembly was quick and simple. Instructions are included if needed. The level inserted into the auger was very helpful, as was the turning bar to screw the auger into the ground.
The only things I did not like about this light is that the solar panels are plastic over the glass, and there were no ground stakes for stability included as advertised. I would have liked to see a larger base to help keep the post from leaning. The battery pack is replaceable, but it is not a type readily found in local stores.
I am pleased with this resin lamp post, as it has held up over our harsh winter and looks better than the painted aluminum post that I installed around the same time.
Pros: Easy to Assemble, Well Made, High Quality of Material, Looks Great
This is a clever good-looking design. The base is designed to be mounted either in the dirt using the dirt auger screw or on a cement pad with bolts. In my case, I mounted it in the middle of my center circle flower garden so I used the auger screw. The auger screw is somewhere between 1 and 2 feet long and I guess about 4 or 5 inches in diameter. The top of this base has a level on it and a place to put a metal turning bar, which is included in the kit. The trick is to keep the auger screw level as you turn it into the ground. When I got to 1 inch before the base was to push against the ground I added rock shims to make sure it sat perfectly level. Then the light pole screws onto the base. Of course, the light source is solar power and I think led lights. However, the lights they use reflect of a pyramid tower inside the light case, which gives a nice even glow and a little sparkle to the lamp light. I really like it. I installed it after dark in my yard in under 15 minutes. The light pole is made out of a thick plastic, which for my circumstance is perfect: lightweight, weather proof, and located in a non-traffic area. This is not a Gene Kelly Singing in The Rain light post where you can hang on it or lean on it. If you want a great looking light post in your garden without running underground wiring and pouring cement then this is perfect. It’s also easily relocate-able. I’ve attached pictures. I recommend this product.
Pros: Easy to Assemble, Well Made, Unique, Looks Great, Stylish, Good Size & Weight, Nice Design
While I love the idea of having a lightweight solar light for outside, it would seem that a better more sturdy option might be a better way to go if you are looking for a front entry post lamp. I for one would spend a bit more and buy a post made from metal that looks like it supports the light in a more stable way if it is in a high traffic area.
Don't get me wrong, this lamp is made well, it comes with a incredibly sturdy screw into the ground anchor system, that is very well made. That being said however, does not take away from the fact that the lamp looks a bit like a child's toy made by a prominent plastics manufacturer.
The light on the post itself looks great, but the post itself, just cannot make up for this plastic detail.
If you are in need of a front entry light that will greet your guests on your front lawn in a rich and regal looking way, I'd say go for a bit more. BUT, If you are in simply need of an inexpensive post lamp, that is VERY easy to install and made for this application, then yes, I say, go for it, this one certainly fits the bill. It really is a cute lamp for an area that is not in center focus for details.
Pros: Easy to Assemble, Functional, Well Made, High Quality of Material, Eco-Friendly, Looks Great, Stylish, Very Bright, Good Size & Weight, Nice Design
Takes a little more patience to assemble, even more when setting the lamp post in place - me, I set it in my backyard need the garden. I did so, just in case I wanted to relocate it later. It is really bright when it's on! Since I set it into dirt, hoping that it wont fall over in heavy winds, otherwise I will re-locate onto concrete, which I would like to avoid - lack of space. Hopefully, ground will settle and harden, I do like the design and from afar you can't tell that it is made of plastic. Other than setting in place, it was fairly easy to assemble, just have some patience as the screws are tiny when assembling the lamp.
Pros: Functional, Looks Great, Stylish, Very Bright, Good Size & Weight, Nice Design
Added this to my front porch and am pleasantly surprised as to the attractive quality this brings to the porch. The LED lights are bright enough to see w/ out casting a blinding effect. Super easy putting together. Can be permanently mounted or left portable. (ground has to flat) For the cost I think it dressed up nicely.
Pros: Easy to Assemble, Unique, Good Size & Weight, Nice Design
In the market for a full size yard light, yet don't want to dig a trench and wire the light into house power? This lamp is exactly what you want.
It's made of all black plastic, which may put some off at first, but it's attractive, looks like metal and is very thick, which gives it durability. This isn't a flimsy plastic light, it's very robust.
The lamp comes out of the box needing assembly, you'll just need your hands and a phillips head screwdriver for tools. Total assembly time is 15 to 30 minutes max.
I love that you have a full base, with all hardware included to attach this to a deck or patio, concrete pad, asphalt OR using the massive auger type base you can screw this right into the ground solidly anywhere in the yard you choose. The ground auger even includes a metal bar to screw it down, along with a bubble level to ensure that you install it perfectly upright. Genius!
The light post is made of four very thick threaded decorative posts, allowing you to adjust the height in one of four ways, with makes the install very flexible. Maximum height is just over six feet tall, the same as any large yard light.
It has four solar panels, so no matter where you place this lamp (as long as it's not full shade), it should be able to receive enough sun to get a full charge. On a full charge the lithium batteries give it a run time of about ten hours and the batteries are replaceable if you ever need to. It comes on at dusk and off at dawn automatically.
Brightness is adjustable, you can either switch it to Summer, which is full brightness, about the equivalent of a 40-60 watt bulb and is actually bright enough to read by, or Winter which is a bit dimmer and allows you to reserve battery power during the time of the year when it doesn't get as much sun to recharge.
Overall, it's very attractive, nice and bright and fits into any outdoor decor. I'd definitely recommend this to a anyone looking for a large size outdoor lighting solution.
Pros: Easy to Assemble, Well Made, Unique, High Quality of Material, Eco-Friendly, Looks Great, Stylish, Very Bright, Good Size & Weight, Nice Design, ground auger with level and install rod!, has all hardware needed!
Installation was easy. We were surprised at how much was in such a little box! Instructions weren't the best. At times we had to scratch our heads hoping we were doing certain steps right. The instructions direct you to figure drawings on another page to refer to, and the figures are very small. A tool was included to install the screw into the ground, and the screw has a bubble level on top of it to help guide you. The product is made of a resin material, which is quite hard and sturdy, but not as hard as aluminum like most lamp posts. There is a base which goes on top of the screw, and this helps prevent wind from moving the post too much. We had some crazy wind over the past couple nights, but the post survived; it did rock a few times but only because it was installed on a slight slope, and not on a flat surface like it should be. I moved the post to a flat surface on the second night, and it withstood the wind better. The brightness of the post's light is enough to see what's around its area. If you wish to install the post to another location such as on wood, the post includes some screws to use instead of the EZ anchor. There is also a switch for winter mode and summer mode.
Overall, this product works great for its purpose. It can easily be moved to another location in just minutes, is plenty bright, and quite sturdy. I like the EZ anchor feature, because it makes it that much easier to install.
